Lithium batteries and carry on

I've traveled via plane and brought my lithium batteries in my carry on. That was a year ago. From what I've read online the rules are still the same? Anyone travel recently? My plan is to take 2 lithium batteries in a protective case in my carry on bag. I just wanted to make sure this is still OK. Thanks!

I traveled about 5 weeks ago, and had no problem. batteries in protected battery boxes, in my carry on.

I do it all the time. No problem. Batteries in protective case with a rubber band around the case keeping it secure.

Never had an issue, even with a "loaded mod" in my pocket.

Keep your tanks empty! That change in atmospheric pressure does a number on them. A pocket or bag full of juice is no bueno.

Yep, carry on is fine, luggage is not.

And no Samsung Note 7's!!!

My wife flew from Toronto to San Fran and back recently with 2 mods loaded with batteries in her carry on and 2 spares and no issues.

Just make sure they're in silicone sleeves or a rigid plastic box. Hard shorts in mid air makes for cranky fellow passengers.

Yep, same experience I had on 6 flights this summer - OK installed in your mods and/or out and in protective cases in carry ons.

I just flew to fla with 3 mods and battery's they didn't say a thing about it. Just had to be carry on. Like someone said empty your tanks I didn't had a hell of a mess

Thanks, I had absolutely no issues. I had my tanks emptied out and batteries in a protective case.
