It's a nice Sunday afternoon why not make 5v box mod. I've made three 5v mods with kit from MV. Last time I just ordered the parts separately. Now everything looks the same accept the 470k Ohm resistor. The one I got is beige and not blue like it shows on the website and that comes with the kit. It's also not the same as the 470 Ohm for the LED. Do you guys know if the 470k the sell separate on the website are different in color and will it work. Thanks. :D

Resistors may vary in colors from different batches. It's really the bands that make the big difference. There's an easy way to tell the resistance based on the color code:

here's a simple chart and calculator: Resistor Color Code Chart and Calculator

From electronics school back in the 80's we learned this little line (now politically incorrect probably :(), for when we didn't have a chart handy:

Bad =Black
Boys= Brown
Ravage= Red
Our= Orange
Young= Yellow
Girls= Green
But = Blue
Violet = Violet(Purple, Pink)
Gives = Grey
Willingly= White
