been trying to mod my Vivi Nova with SS mesh.
followed many instructions carefully but always end up with hot spot on coil. i think i tried 20+ times.
was using 500 SS mesh + 34 Kanthal A-1 wire
no matter how i adjust the coil. always end up hot spot on legs.
so i figured that the wire could be having too much resistance so the electric bypass the coil and went from the mesh to the base directly, instead of going through the whole coil.
Today i have received my 30 kathal A-1 wire and gave a try.
WOOLA!!! no more hot spots. the entire coil now is lighting red instead of just the leg.
just my two cents for these ppl who might also having hot spot issues like i was.
