Ms. Nancy that's a completely different story, know in the past there has been an occasional issue where something got mislabeled or it was a completely bad batch. Sadly it happens in any manufacturing of juices, beers, wines, etc...

yes i can understand it .Its the only bottle of anything that "wasnt quite right " from v4l

Just curious ,what did they do ( if anything about this ? ) I just received a bottle of cowboy 18mg and it had NO tobacco taste to it ,no it is not my tastebuds and yes I have had cowboy before .Batch was produced in april ....what do i do ? eat the 13.50 ? will they credit to account ?

Per my request, they sent me three new bottles of the offending juices. I appreciated this, because I'm aware it goes against company policy. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 still have the same weird taste. I don't know why, but I'm not going to bother to press the issue any further, because in my opinion, V4L did their best to rectify the problem. If I had to guess, it has something to do with the 0mgs, although I have other 0mg juices that are great. It's partly my fault for buying unfamiliar juices, but thanks to the sale, I'm not out all that much.

Is there something going on at V4L / their Chinese plants??? So many delays, sudden disappearances of staff, redonkulous (tip o' the hat to Morandir) waits for so many many many juices . . .

What is happening to our favorite vendor, guys??

Except for the weird/offending batch of April 2011 Cowboy Premium juice (noted above by Kris and Waylon), there has not been a single stock update/shipment of Premium juice in exactly 5 months now. (CoolCarts have been trickling in, although less so recently.)

So I repeat: What's up, guys? This just seems . . . strange to me!

Well .customer service made it right and gave me a credit for the juice .That is good .I think I will not say anymore about it except it was not right and after vaping for 4-5 months i know what it should taste like ...I almost think after trying it a 3rd day ugh...that it is either 0 or 4 mg instead of 18 .

I'm not desperate, I've found a number of juices from other places that I love.

But you're right about the trace of resentment, Lisa: I guess I resent the total information blackout and the silence/pretense from V4L that all is well, all is normal, "nothing to see here, folks, move along." I'm sorry, but I do like and care about V4L, I'm starting to get very concerned about this, and I think we deserve better. :(

I probably shouldn't be piping in here, seeing as I've only seen a hint of the frustration of the issues. That said (and ignored ) I don't like when businesses I frequent don't meet my expectations, and I don't think anyone does. From the tiny bit I've experienced though, I think I would be even more frustrated if I read "Product X will be available on 8/17/11" and it wasn't available on 8/17/11. On 8/18/11 I would be pretty dang upset to say the least.

So... I am not in any way discounting your frustrations; they make a lot of sense. In this situation, though, I'm not sure I'd want a definitive date on things, unless it was a truly guaranteed thing. I do wonder though, if so very many shortages are because of the customs issues (and I'm really stepping into the land of speculation here) I might consider an american vendor. Perhaps this has been considered and wisely discounted, I don't know.

Dang, caught myself rambling. There was a point. I lost it. Wow I'm tired. I should probably delete the post and go to bed now... but that wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. So enjoy

Will only say this, being a computer enthusiast quite used to having to wait on items at times. The two video cards in my machine were delayed by a month, then took another month afterwards for the version I truly wanted to be released, and then you could only order one at first release... Was the wait worth it? Yes. So when it comes to future hardware, willing to wait for a quality product then get a pos....

As for the juices and the shortage issues, when china is where it comes from, quite a few issues with customs can come into play. For smaller vendors, this won't hurt them as badly for two reasons-

A. They're not placing huge orders
B. When something is delayed, because of their lower amount of clients, less of a chance of them reaching out of stock or staying out of stock for an extended period of time

V4L is a top selling vendor with many patrons who don't even post here. Delays are a killer when you have a very popular flavor of juice. It's just as frustrating to Steve Smilin sir and company as it is us their fans. This is why I constantly preach if you have a flavor that you can't live without, keep six months worth on hand. Two of my favorite juices are out of stock right now, yet I'm not freaking out because my reserve is there. Infact I was comfortable enough with my boh on one that I traded two bottles of it to someone in need. There are enough awesome sales that even if you order say two bottles a week for a few months when your juice is in stock that it's not hard to build your stockpile with a strict budget....

Okay, in my humble cranky opinion, this level of extreme variability is simply not acceptable.

I do understand where you are coming from Eleanor. I am flummoxed by the differences between the 3 batches of Nuport I've tried. Surely there is a recipe? Maybe slight differences would be acceptable, but not major. If a cake I made from the same recipe turned out so very different each time, I'd be asking myself what is happening.

Wow......amazing :glare:

It's about the transparency, Snow . . . or lack thereof. I do not argue with any of Morandir's points; they are accurate but rather beside the point for me at this point.

Perhaps you're right; V4L is just a business that occasionally offers products I dearly love, and if/when they are ever available again, I am free to buy 6 months' worth or not, and beyond that, V4L doesn't owe me jack-squat, not one freaking thing. My bad.

BTW, the vet will be here at my house in about one hour to put down my precious, beloved 17 year-old tabby. Have yourself a nice day. Mine has been just terrific.

EleanorR, first and foremost very sorry to here about you tabby.

We have tried to be as transparent as we can be about our stock situation. And we have orders in for most everything that is out of stock. We are also working to try to resolve the issues that have come up. I wish I could say more, as it's as frustrating to us as it is to you. I know you would like a better reply, but that's about all we can say right now.

Why yes...I would and thank you for asking me to respond here instead of in a PM!

The beauty of this post is that we all know each other maybe with the exception of KBK, and we are all experienced Vapors. It's no secret what the long-standing V4L policy is when it comes to refunds on Juice and Cartos. If there is a manufacturers defect with the cartos or the wrong juice/nic level ends up in your order, you can get a refund. However, there are NO Refunds just because you don't like the juice.

That being said, C.S. has made exceptions for bottles that have leaked while in transit, on a few occasions last winter for altered taste due to freezing. On even rarer occasions for mislabled bottles and isolated incidents where regular customers with a known order history have noted that their Go-To juices seemed so different, they were unvapable. (Luma comes to mind)

What advice do we give all newbies when it comes to trying out new flavors? See if you can get a single Carto from somebody off the Swap Sticky or buy prefilled Cartos before buying a bottle. Did you follow that advice? Did you ever hit the Board or the Swap Sticky up about either of these flavors? No, you by your own admission took a gamble.

So when you contacted C.S. did they answer the phone in a professional manner, address your issue, and follow the stated company policy? Yes. It wasn't that C.S. didn't understand, it was the fact that you were upset that they were not making an exception for you. Or as you put it, "I'm not getting that top customer service I'm used to." Of course your argument was that, "It's not that I don't like it, but I can tell it tastes funny...there's something wrong with it". Really? How would you know if 2 of the 3 flavors you have tasted funny if you had never tried them before?

Who cares whether you are willing to return the bottles to them, "No questions asked", whatever that means? They can't resell them. The only real item you can speak to with any firsthand knowledge is the one flavor you are familiar with. Instead of simply acknowledging the fact that you took a gamble....and lost, a fact you later admitted to. You opted for Plan B, to put up a complaint post, questioning not only the integrity and level of C.S. V4L provides but inferring that the C.S. rep was inept because, "he's not getting it" when all he did was his job.

Of course there was a Plan C but it wouldn't draw enough squeaky wheel attention. Take the 2 bottles you had gambled on and put them up on the Swap Sticky. Then simply PM'd Mark, who would see your profile and order history then simply explained to him that the Kamel seemed way off. Giving Mark the opportunity to hook you up with another bottle. But apparently Plan C never made it to the table.

So now that Plan B has come together and Mark (bless his heart) hooked you up with 3 more bottles...it turns out that, "2 of the 3 still have the same weird taste." In a grand gesture you have stated, "I'm not going to bother to press the issue any further, because in my opinion, V4L did their best to rectify the problem." That's almost as magnanimous as stating, "It's partly my fault for buying unfamiliar juices, but thanks to the sale, I'm not out all that much."

Well gee....I'm so glad you are not out, "all that much". But what about V4L and how much they are out? Oh that's right, who cares? As long as you aren't out that much, that's all that really counts...isn't it? You know, especially since you bought those bottles on sale.

Amazing....:glare:

Green Tea: Tastes like a mix of formaldehyde and Potpourri Perfume...gee how'd did I know that? Must have been a lucky guess....it's not for me...but I'm sure there are those that would say the same thing about some flavors I like.
