So I have decided that I want to rebuild my Kangertech mini protank 2 v2 atomizers. I have watched videos and read up on it and want to save money by rebuilding my heads and I like to do things on my own also cause it's fun for me :) anyway I have decided I want to use ekowool with cotton core as my wick... But should I go with 3.0mm, 2.5mm or what? What would you recommend and why? Also what gauge kanthal wire should I use? I see most people using 32 gauge I will be using the heads on my ego-c upgrade battery and a iTaste svd I have coming soon. I will also be using a protank 3

You will learn quickly. In order to get the standard 2.2 to 2.5 ohms, using 32 gauge Kanthal with 5 to 6 wraps on a 4/40 screw is easy and consistent. Experiment with your wicks. Two 1 or 2mm silica wicks doubled over, one 2 or 2.5mm wick with a few strands of flavor wick on top. Even a wrapped wick with a piece of cotton as a flavor top works, experiment, you are entering the hobby portion of vaping. Good Luck.

1-2mm should be ok for kanger coils I think. as far as gauge, its preference. people say that the thicker gauges (28) bring out the more subtle notes while thinner gauges (32) get hotter faster which means a insta hot vape and saving battery life.

if youre aiming for 1.5-2.0 dualies, I'd stick with 30 gauge to begin with. its a compromise of he 2 wires and shouldnt need a long length just to get those average dual coil readings. (I know I need 6" of 32 per coil to get my dualies around 1.3....)

EDIT: TON of spelling errors fixed and fixed the gauge issue that was pointed out ^^

the lower the number, the thicker the wire.
