I'm looking at the Coolfires over at Origin Vapes and I can't tell which one would be considered amethyst and which one is considered the purple. Does anyone know?

You didn't mention whether you already have a RED 30W-istick.

If you do...you're still "allowed" to buy a 2nd one. (I like my "Red" one the best...but the Silver is a close second.)

The Evic VT in "cool black" is on it's way to me. Cant pass up a 5000 mAh battery and to test the temperature control option for less than $80 shipped (full kit).

And it's not any larger than the iStick 50W, just a tad heavier.

I tell ya what, that's a heck of a price. I've seen the box alone for $60 and I was shocked outa my chair to see Gearbest AND Heavengifts listing this for $124.90. and it's not like gearbest has a monopoly on silver/blue and gold/black. Myvaporstore has those colors. What is gearbest thinking ?!

the other feature I think is really really cool, is the Evic Vt is set up for temp control for nickel and titanium separately. Is this a hint as to where coils are headed?

The only decision we are to make, @Katdarling, is "2 purple" or "1 purple, 1 blue". And I might not even be up for that much, so you just might have to wrack your pretty head all by yo'self. Sorry, but I'm "decisioned" out. If you asked me right now though, I'd say, "Two - purples, please."

With maybe a Subber on the side, thrown in for good measure.

I'll be looking for the 1.5Ω OCC replacement coils - so far haven't seen anyone who sells them, even though they are selling the new Subtank and KBox mini separately now. If someone spots the 1.5Ω coils, give me a heads up :- )

I asked Kanger about them yesterday - this is their brief reply, which is not exactly satisfactory, but the best we're going to get it seems:

New OCC will be sold in the future, we need to clear the 0.5/1.2ohm first.

I think they are going to do that with the new rba too; sell the old version before releasing the new one for individual sale.

I can understand a maker wanting to clear out "old" stock, but imo they should do it with discounted prices, not holding the "new, improved" versions hostage...

I know the 1.2 will work fine, but that's not the point.

I can understand a maker wanting to clear out "old" stock, but imo they should do it with discounted prices, not holding the "new, improved" versions hostage...

Even if they didn't discount them, I can imagine all three resistances still selling depending on peoples preferences.

On top of that, I can see some people preferring the horizontal coils to the new vertical coils. I think it would do them well to have both at least for a while to determine what the market wants.

Well, peeps. The latest mini mod to hit the shelves in the States is HCIGAR's HB Mini. It stands at 87mm x 39mm x 23mm. Has an easily replaceable 18650. It steps down to 1.7V for the low-wattage vapers and runs up to 9V/30W. At $32.99, not a bad choice for those who don't need/want greater than 30W or temperature limiting.

Apparently the screen is recessed like the VaporSharks. The internals look neat and clean. HCIGAR has a reasonable reputation for putting out decent products. Considering that less than a year ago I paid $25 for a 1300mAh eGo Twist, it seems like a decent purchase...
