I still have 20 years to go before I hit retirement age, David, and I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a live-and-let-vape kinda guy. However, with the current public relations mess and our need to convince public policy makers to embrace our plight, I believe that extreme vapers are hurting our efforts. vaping is still very new to most of the world. We're talking first impressions here and we only get one shot at it. We all have to recognize that each of us, individually, represents the entire vaping community when we vape in public. There will always be daredevils in any endeavor. But if we can't police our own better, including manufacturers and retailers, the powers that be will happily do so.

I'm not sure it's really cloud blowing since that's more of a sport than vaping and even that, by focusing on it, the whole industry has coddled up to the < 25 yr old market. What expo doesn't have cloud blowing contests? And girls walking around in bikini's, race car sponsorships, cartoons, on and on. Anyone > 35 gets ignored. Esp. females. The industry is male dominated and it's not just for show. Not Blowing Smoke has had some interesting conversations on how to attract more female smokers/vapers. I don't remember the ratio, but it's a lot bigger than I expected. Guessing 4 to 1 or 6 to 1, male to female? It's unacceptable.
But that's one more sign that this industry is targeting a specific market and that targeting has caused harm. I'm not going to point fingers at vapers when there's a systemic problem. Even vendors, if they stop courting the younger age group, they risk alienating or falling behind. No, they need to ramp up efforts to attract an older crowd. Uh, maybe by hiring someone older with grey hair? Showing older folks in ads, something!
When I see vendors tossing free stuff into a mosh pit, I think they are charging too much and I stop buying unless it's more than 5O% off. I want free stuff too. Vendors have got NO business skills. Age has experience this industry is lacking.
I'm not sure that I, personally, would be too interested in a "What's in YOUR Vapocalypse Box?" thread.
I have little in interest in Tanks, Mods, etc. that people are not currently using...but are just keeping in their back-drawers in case the guvmint steps in.
I'd be more interested in a "What's in YOUR Current Rotation" thread.
