I requested notification.. my cards won't work on foreign purchases- I'm fine with waiting for a reputable USA shop having it in stock.

I'm only versed in batteries for my Reo (AW IMR only) but I know there are several options for mods like this. what would you recommend for a battery, and can you point me in the right direction for some battery edumacation re: regulated mods?

18650s:

LG HE2 or HE4
Samsung 25R

I'll assume you have a decent charger you've been using with your AWs. If not we can recommend some good ones.

Baditude's Battery Basics is a great place to start and perhaps all you'll need to know:

Battery University has just about everything else you'll ever need to know, and then some, about batteries and their use:

Good luck!

thank you! running 18490s in the Woodvil and do have a Nitecore 4bay charger.. it's the amps and such I stumble on, and I tend to do what I'm told in situations like this. lol

You certainly wouldn't be going wrong by simply getting a few AW IMR in 18650 size, they're widely available from certified authorized vendors...

This looks to be the perfect option when I'm looking for new means of removing my facial hair. (Can one singe hair away safely?)

It's bigger than a taser and doesn't include a spring-loaded 510 connection. Really?

I love it when he takes a very quick vape at 260w! Ay caramba

While I agree, there are better (other? just as good?) choices with higher mah at cheaper prices.

Agreed, I very much enjoy my VTC, but I also know how many ridges are on top, how many legs the positive contact should have, and how the printing should look.....not so easy for a "first 18650" purchased. There is so much counterfeiting and re-wrapping going on it's very tough on a noob to be confident.

AW's are a bit more expensive, but using a known authorized vendor makes it so much easier. Their usable mah (above ~3.5 volts) matches up pretty well against most batteries.

Mr. Busardo released his review of the MVP3 last night.

http://youtu.be/HWgYuyPgOcg

The important takeaway from this review:

The MVP 3's large size is primarily dictated by the size of the incorporated batteries.

The MVP 3 is what the DNA 30 should have been.

The MVP 3 has full step-down capability utilizing a flat DC signal (no PWM).

The MVP 3 is incapable of firing 30W into coils below 1.2Ω. With the advent of the sub-ohm clearomizers, we should not expect more than 25W out of this device with stock coils at 0.5Ω or 1.2Ω. For twice the price of the iStick 30W, we might expect a little better performance/regulation.

No PV is perfect. The MVP 3 can be a solid companion on our vaping journey. It behooves us to know what and how we vape and determine for ourselves whether it's the right fit.

I need a vape. :vapor:

I'm so excited with all these mods, I just can't decide! I don't sub ohm.. just now learning to love dual coils.. need a solid mod with the ability to be away from a charger, either by internal mah or swappable batteries. spring-loaded pins are my preference, as I have no want to mess with a tiny screwdriver when I change tanks.

first I wanted a Cloupor Mini, but there's a few things that say it's not right, at least not right now.. really like the looks of the Heatvape Defender.. the Sigelei 30w Mini is almost perfect (for me).. but for all-around use, ease of use, and value, the iStick 50w totally has my attention.

I see the sub-ohming (low Ω's, high Watts) craze as aimed more towards the "hobby vapist".

I...as an "analog-convert vapist"...get the "perfect cigarette experience" from my Nauty's with BVC's at 11-12 Watts.

But the 50W-iStick "has my attention" too. Just because it has 50 Watts doesn't mean I have to use 50 Watts. At 12 Watts I'm thinkin' that 4400mAh will last me at least a week.

I'll never use 50w! don't go higher than 11-ish on the eGrip.. no higher than 9.4w on the iStick 20w.. I do vape a lot though.. will charge the iStick once and the eGrip twice daily.. need a mod that will last all day if that's the day I'm in.. swapping or refilling tanks, no problem.. finding a charger some days, problem.

and even if it's $50-60, still less than getting a box plus removable batteries. value abounds with the iStick 50w.. but the Cloupor Mini is just too darn cute!

who knows what I'll end up with.. but this is fun in the meantime!

If that's the case, might I suggest the 5pk of LG HE2 batteries?
http://www.amazon.com/LG-18650-2500...d_sim_e_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=06D01517YYKMV2G5438E

I bought this after the 2pk I ordered to try them out. Comes out to $6.56 per battery shipped.
