I assume you're talking about the RX75? If so, how has the finish held up? I assume there's no available sleeve for it?

Correct! Sorry for the confusion. The RX75's have been marvelous for me. Finish is holding up pretty well. A couple of scratches, but with me, that's a given. I've seen MUCH worse.

You can get wraps for them if you like, but for the price tag ($30 per mod), I didn't see a value.

The reason mine scratch (a tiny bit) is that I often carry two of them in one hand (two different juices). If I didn't do that, they'd likely still be pristine.

Thanks for that. Until you wrote "slim profile and slightly recessed tank", I thought both you and Katdarling were going on about the regular 2-3 battery Reuleaux mods and I was thinking "Nah, too fat for me". Forgot that the RX75 is a Reuleaux too.

Mebbe I'll try one. I like that recessed tank platform and they're cheap enough. I'm running mostly on 3 VTC/V2 Mini's and I'm pretty happy with TC on them, so the RX75 should be no different.

What I would really like, though, is a reasonably priced, ready-to-vape-on-316L (i.e. no Windows tweaking necessary), TC mod with a little more throw on the spring-loaded 510 pin than my Joyetech units.

I can't give you any insight to its TC capabilities, unfortunately. I will say that it's solidly built, and stands up to a beating. DO NOT EVER use the lock button though. It's the Achilles Heel (known to stick in the locked position, rendering the mod useless). Five click it if you must, but leave that stupid button OPEN (at all times).

I'll also say that I seem to like it better than the large majority of users, so I may not be the best reference to use. Just being totally candid there.

Jumpin', there is no way either of us would prolly do the 2/3 battery Rolos! WAY to fat for us, too.

The Rolo of which we speak is SUCH a sweet little mod. Thin, not terribly light, but hand comfy and just a solid, good performer. I like mine a lot (I have two now, as does DPL).

That recessed connector seems to make all the difference in the world when it comes to the footprint. It's not EGGZACTLY side by side, but it comes close. Put on a shorty tank (think: KF Kompact) and you've got a pretty spiffy stealth setup. (All the S's in one sentence.)

For your statements on TC? Sorry. I got nuttin. I don't do it, don't wish to, and so, don't know. :)

Too bad about the lock switch. I considered that a useful feature, but so noted. Thanks!

No worries about the TC performance. I should probably look further into it, but as I understand it: Sister companies, same chip/screen, with slightly different screen configuration, custom TCR available in both, so happy with one, likely to be happy with the other, performance-wise.

When it first came out, I was more concerned with that hinge on the screen cover (trigger?), which I thought - clumsy as I can be - I might break in short order.

Hmm..guess I better see what the "large majority" says too.

I was thinking that recessed atty platform might make the assemblage of mod and tank more "pocketable" - especially with that lock mechanism (scratch that now). On the other hand, some length helps to keep the unit bottom down in the pocket, which is good too...

What's a "KF Kompact"? To be honest, tho, I'm not looking to add yet another proprietary coil to my collection. Happy with the Ego One CLRs and RTAs that I have. (Although I do want to try a RDTA...)

The hinge hasn't been a problem at all for me.. I may have tightened it once? Maybe (not sure). I don't open it very often.

Often lock features are overrated. I've got one on my travel water bottle, and once engaged, fuggeddaboudid..... no water for you!

The KF Kompact is a Kayfun in a sort of medium nano size, and is constructed with the addition of a bell cap and the elimination of all the screw on top pieces, including the chimney cap.

I like the form factor. Got a a thing for short, stubby tanks like the GS tank. (Mine leaks a little when the juice level is low, though)

Is this a Fasttech abomination? Is the deck Kayfun 4 based?

She can give you all the details, but yes (FT). Bell caps, and the bases are KF3.1 and KFLv2+ (left to right).

The RX75 definitely makes a difference where height is concerned. Left to right are:

  1. VT75 Nano w/Egg Roll (Ego One Mega V2 Lite Plus Minus Divided By {whatevs!})
  2. RX75 also w/Egg Roll
  3. RX75 with Digiflavor Siren

Even the Siren, which is a fairly tall sucker, becomes more manageable on the Rolo (as you can see).

Can't add much to the above, Jumpin'. I did swap out the opaque covers on both of mine to the translucent / dark plastic. Have had no problems at all, seems pretty sturdy. A few small scratches on that from being pocketed and, well, of course a few minor drops!

As mentioned, yes, the referenced KFKompact is a FT abomination, built from misc. FT replacement parts on a 3.1 or pretty much any V2 base (22 mm). So no special coils, unless you build them - and only proprietary if you copyright them :)

As mentioned, I'm Kompacting with KFL bases, and KF 3.1 bases. As long as you get the correct bell caps (the chimney cylinder has to screw into the bell cap), you should be good to go.

I love the mini size of it, especially in/on my XVO. Makes it nearly an all-in-one mod!!

That XVO is stunning!

Anyone know if a KFv4 will fit on the RX75 platform? (Prob pretty heavy tho?)

Yeah - they fit fine. No overhang at all, but yeah - heavy as sin (aren't they always?).

:wub: on the XvoSticks. Tough to beat, those.
