Thank you for clearing up my confusion!!!
Im new to the higher wattage/sub ohm compatible mods and cant decide between the SMY35, Istick 30 or 50 and the SIGELEI MINI 30W. I dont have a lot of money to spend but Accuracy and durability is key too me.
Of the 4, is there one that stands out the most?
Thanks again.
It really depends on what and how you vape and your preferences and expectations...
From smaller to larger height:
iStick 30W
iStick 50W (though a bit wider)
Defender
Sigelei Mini
SMY35
The first 3 have integrated Li-Po batteries that are not technically user-replaceable. But they can be replaced with a little skill.
The Sigelei uses an easily swappable 18650 Li-Ion of your choice.
The SMY has a user-replaceable 18650 Li-Ion included. But it's not easily swappable on the go.
Do you need 50W of Power? If so, you have only one choice. But the battery life is great regardless.
Are you vaping BELOW .5Ω (.4Ω for iStick 30W)? Then the iStick 50W and SMY35 are your only choices.
Do you use ego-threaded attys a lot? If so, the Defender seems a natural choice.
Do you have smaller hands and/or prefer a stealthier mod? If so, the iStick 30W is your baby with the Defender and iStick 50W following.
The Sigelei comes with a silicone sleeve included, has 5 user-programmable power presets and a DC pass-through (mechanical) mode.
Do you already have a stash of 18650s? If not, a couple of batteries and a good charger are going to cost an additional $30.
Personally, the SMY, at 100mm tall, is too big for my preferences.
As for price, the Sigelei is a couple $ more than the iStick 30W. The Defender sits between them but hasn't been seen yet at US vendors.
The SMY35 is sitting about the same price as the iStick 50W ($45-50)
I have only seen reviews for the iSticks, Defender and Sigelei. I have seen no accuracy testing for anything but the iSticks.
If I HAD to have an on-the-go swappable battery, the Sigelei (along with the Cloupor Mini) is the way to go.
I would most certainly choose the iStick 50W over the SMY35.
I'm sitting here chain-vaping my iStick 30W and loving it.
I'm sure there are other considerations. But I hope this helps.
Good luck!
