Well I've posted some questions elsewhere but the 25w used the yihi chip and they partner with Pioneer4You. Sort of like a IPV mini??? Anyway, trying to figure out whether they are worth drumming up interest in another (unmentionable) forum on ECF or not.

Oh, come on now. Tell me it's not fun watching everyone flock to The Next Big (little) Thing!

Add that thread and let's have us some FUN! :pop:

The co-op will be launched later today.

The forth-coming HB Mini from Hcigar looks to be suitable for addition to our little list.

7-30W (don't think it bucks) box mod in a Vapor Shark layout, spring-loaded 510, single 18650.

87mm*39mm*23mm

HB mini-HCigar VW MOD-Shenzhen Hcigar Technology Co., Ltd

Hcigar's new HB 35, 40 (genuine Evolv) & 50 look interesting. Dimensions are not listed anywhere but I think they're too big for out little list.

ETA: If anyone is interested in Hcigar's HB 50, Sweet Vapes currently has them in stock for $67.95.

HCigar HB 50 Watt

The Sigelei should meter out identical to the IPV Mini (Busardo did a review on it), since both are using the Yihi SX130 board. Which means it pretty accurate for this price range, even in PWM mode (and that gives it a half-decent step-down capability as well).

In PBusardo's review he showed the IPV Mini had step-down and "power boost" (.8-1 volt boost for .8-1 sec.) in the PWM Mode only...and NOT in the DC-DC Mode.

Since then P4Y has come out with the IPV Mini V2. Although it does have 40 more Watts...it has NO PWM Mode (ie. has DC-DC Mode only).

What's up with that???

The beautiful pink mods are advertised as red. They are definitely NOT red. I love this color!

I have the pink/rose/red one. To me...it definitely looks PURPLE!

Agree...it is the most BEAUTIFUL of the 10 Mods I have.

Florida
I ordered 2 50 watt iSticks in January, shipped Feb 11. Hit the states 5 days ago. Since then, nothing. Figured weather? something? was getting concerned because usually once something hits the States I have it in 3 days in Florida. Got the mail today and there was my order!! Proud owner of 2 50 watt iSticks!! Whoo Hoo! I love these things! Now to do my creative wrap job to make them pretty (one is black, the other is silver, but I wrap EVERYTHING!!!).

While Yihi makes a couple of different hi-wattage chipsets around the SX350 technology that both buck and boost with a flat DC-DC output, these chipsets cost 2-3X more than other chipsets that only boost. I'm sure that P4Y decided that a far majority of customers buying a 70W APV has little interest in vaping under 3.6V. It's a bean counters decision. The money they lose by not utilizing a bucking chipset is less than the money they save on the less expensive chipiset for the masses.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't vaped under 3.6V in many months now.

I think P4Y got tired of all of us carrying on about what the H the PWM did and why the DC-DC. ;) It's clearly..... ummm... not clear.

And gerrymi, REAL men call pink, purple. You're good to go, hon. ;)

When folks cite a low-voltage limit of 3.6v for devices that don't buck, does that mean these devices can fire down to 3.6 regardless of the charge state of the battery, or does it mean the chip cannot regulate below available battery charge which is 3.6 because that's the level that over-drain protection kicks in at, hence the chip will never regulate below that ... sorry cannot seem to frame the question more clearly....

That's a really good question. The answer probably depends on the specific device we're talking about. PBusardo found the iPV Mini, with the Yihi SX130 chipset, unable to reliably and consistently regulate below battery voltage with a flat DC signal. I have yet to see a thorough review of Yihi's SX330V2C that is used in the MINI 2.

I generally advise vapers who use these non-bucking, non-PWM chipset APVs to plan on vaping at 4V minimum, with a more realistic expectation of 4.2V. This means 10W with a 1.8Ω coil.

I know this doesn't answer the how or why question but the heatvape defender can step down to 3.0V and 5W.

aik, I did a bit of poking around today. It appears that there are 3 models of the Mini Bomber. There is a 25w, a 30w, and a 60w about to be released! Here's a pic of the big boy:

Also, just for fun, the weight on the 25 and the 30 is 300g, and the 60w 350g.

This Mini Bomber is sort of cute, but I would HIGHLY recommend one does NOT pair it with the UNI-tank........
