Hi CH! I'm honoured that you're part of our little itty bitty group.

Plus a few on the 'Stick30. It's klearly become my fave of the 'Stick family that lives with me.

Love ya, Kat! I didn't really wanna admit this, but I also picked up a istick 50W at the same time as the 30W. Needed to add something else in order to get the free postage!

Why'd I do that? I'm having a really hard time handling anything over about 12 watts and can't imagine me ever using all that power. The battery life is great, of course, and I do like the way it feels in my hand. Wonder if I'm the only fool who uses the 30W daily while having the 50W for a backup.

Oh yeah, both my units must've been from those bad batches y'all mentioned many pages ago. Neither one rattles at all!

Hi, CH.

No worries, we were all noobs at some time :)

Simplest way is to click the little smiley at the top of the reply box, and select from there. Yep, plain text does lose all the visual cues of face to face, and can sometimes come across not as meant - but I don't think anyone took you wrong!

Great that you're liking your 30. What's on top?

Thanks, David! For now, I've been using both the nautilus Mini and the eleaf GS Air. Like 'em both, too! Don't see myself ever getting into anything more complicated or sub-ohmy that that.

Since I'm still unsure about the Aspire mystery coil situation, I also rummaged thru some online clearance sales and picked up several of the older Kanger models like the PT3 (added an airflow valve), Aerotank, and AT Mega. Haven't gotten around to prepping them for tryouts yet.

Will try to teach myself about the smiley thingies soon, too, and I do appreciate your tips! This old dog, er CAT, isn't always great at learning new things...

Do wash all new toppers. There's sometimes crud from manufacturing - and you won't be able to see the machine oil, but you'll certainly taste it!

Glad you're liking what you have. That's a key element in making the switch! Getting comfortable and "secure" with what keeps you off cigs is the first step. Time later to branch out, who knows, in six months you may be building your own coils and mixing your own flavors - it's happened to a lot of us!

But no need to rush, just enjoy being an ex-smoker, :toast:

Not sure if it's been mentioned but the Kanger Kbox is a nice little 40w device that you can pick up for around $25.

Sent from my HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon edition

Hi Oberon. Thank you very much and yes it's been mentioned (and is on THE Sheet).

For those who may have missed it, there's a page called "Misc." That's where the KBox is planted. :)

**update**

i've cancelled the order and ordered another Cloupor Mini.....

was supposedly in shipping for 11 days, from Texas to Missouri... it irritated me that i didn't even get a tracking number from the company i ordered from. then once DOVPO finally put it up on their website, said it has an 8 second cutoff, seems kinda short to me.

Kat...looks like your Wonderful List could include another column.

column: WARNING...for example...

Dovpo Mini 50w...8 second cutoff

Clouper Mini...May melt

VaporShark DNA 30...Expensive

IPV Mini...Big & HEAVY

I just found my Nirvana Mod...the Clouper Mini (30 watt). I have 2 now with 2 more on the way (all were free shipping...I paid $28.99 and $29.99 for the 2 at GearBest and $36 each for the 2 on FT). I've got lots of mods (been vaping since 2009) but I've never been happier than now. I can't imagine wanting to vape at more than 30 watts and this thing vapes great with my Kayfun Lite at 20 watts but it's just fine at 15. I love everything about it, the magnetic door, that I can switch out the battery, and the small form factor is just icing on the cake.

No, nothing's melted yet and I don't suppose it will. So now I can concentrate solely on toppers. Big thanks to Clouper!!! :)

If size isn't a huge issue, you should.ve not spent all your money on the Cloupor mini and tried a IPV mini 30W and set it to DC-DC mode over the PWM mode. Not as small as the cloupor (about 3/4" taller and a mm or 2 wider and thicker), but I'm in love love the IPV Mini 30W. Same warning the cloupor mini...don't use them as passthrough or charge the battery within the unit and you should be fine. Only thing I like better about the cloupor is the magnetic battery door. Very nice, I admit.

Something aboutth eIPV I can't figure out. Using same tank, same coil, same juice & same battery but the flavor is better in the iPV over the cloupor. I don't know if that's even possible, but I'm tellin' ya, it's better.

I have a Cloupor Mini from gearbest, with another on the way, also from gearbest (both for $29.99 shipped). I also have an iPV Mini 30W and two iPV Mini 2 70Ws. I love them all, but they are somewhat different.

The Cloupor Mini is tiny and has that fantastic battery door with magnets. Swapping out batteries takes only about ten seconds. The iPV Minis are larger, much heavier (a negative for Gerrymi, but the extra heft feels good in my hand), and have a screw-on battery cap, which takes a little more time and requires extra care when swapping out batteries to avoid cross-threading. In addition, the iPV Minis dim their displays immediately after the firing button is released (as opposed to the Cloupor Mini, which leaves the display at full brightness for two full minutes after firing, then shuts off the display completely, going into "sleep" mode). On the iPV Mini 30W, the dimmed display is effectively unreadable (perhaps because of the mirrored transparent plate that covers the display). When I want to see the display, I have to press the fire button on all three of my iPVs---a slight inconvenience, but no big deal.

The Cloupor Mini has the .8 second firing delay when "awakening" from display sleep. During regular firing, it seems to have a momentary ramp-up. I wouldn't call it a delay, per se, but the Cloupor does seem to take a second or so to bring the coil to full heat. By contrast, the iPV Minis have no delay and no ramp-up, and actually use a slight boost at the beginning of firing that then ramps down over about half a second to the set voltage. I like the boost. Watch Phil Busardo's review of the iPV Mini 30W for the oscilloscope pics that show the boost. To me, the initial boost doesn't make the iPVs hit "harder," but the vape seems bit "fuller." Maybe that's what accounts for your perception of the iPV Mini providing a little more flavor than the Cloupor Mini? Just a thought...

Possibly. I dunno. But I know there's no doubt about the flavor being better on the IPV Mini 30W than other mods I own. I don't usually use it out and about, though. It's pretty much a "for around the house" mod for me due to it's larger size and because it's my baby!!!. I actually dropped it in liquid once (another thread) but seems to be working fine after a clean-out. Very easy to take apart.

I mostly use my Istick 20W for out of the house.

I love this. It just goes to show that one man's (whatever) is another man's (whatever else).

The IPV Mini is one of my smaller mods. :)

LOL

IPV Mini is as big as I can tolerate, I think. If I didn't love it so much,. I would think that it would actually be too big. I was almost in tears when I dropped it in liquid. But with a little CPR...she's baaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaack!!!!

I love vaping! :vapor:

Hear, hear!!! I'll vape to that.

Quiet in here. Everyone must be too busy vaping to post! :D

Vape on!

I know I am hit or miss right now, trying to get 3 business tax returns completed by the 15th, and at the moment it's looking like I may have get an extension for at least one of them.

But...

If you lived there, it wouldn't be deserted?

And the IRS would STILL find you - by following the vape delivery truck :_

That's ok I was going to order all my vape stuff (on vape delivery boat) under the name DavidOck. The island would look deserted because I would always run to the other side from the one they land on, And by desert I mean like strawberry shortcake with caramel topping not the sandy type of place. :)
