I am playing catch up, and read the posts about manufacturers going for organic cotton coils.
Have any of you done your own comparisons? I have put several brands of "organic cotton" against Celu Cotton/Dacron, and if given my choice, I would rather them stick to Dacron instead, It holds up better than any of the organics I have compared to it. The best I have had organic last is 3 to 4 days sub ohming.

Thanks. $15 shipped would be a cheap enough experiment, though with that shipping, you can find a full EK clone kit on ebay shipped from US sellers at about the same price, with both metal and plastic tank, metal drip tip and 510 drip tip adaptor that would be better for experimentation, then go with a mess of $5 tanks if you find you like them.

Might also just be a case of getting the wider diameter center post/airflow section that's an option on the genuine Erl.

I find the Lemo more restrictive than I like as well, just as an FYI.

If you find the Lemo restrictive than you will find the Erl too restrictive. I have both and the Erl is slight more restrictive than the Lemo.

They are both great! I use the Erl when i am out and about. The top fill port is so nice when you are on the go. It is small and convenient to carry around. I use the Lemo Drop when i feel like clouding up the room. It has a .5 ohm coil in it, and at 30watts chucks huge clouds. It is big at 23mm, and with the screw (seal ring) bottom fill. It just is not as convenient when out and about. Pluss, with it chucking the clouds. I can go through the tank in about a half hour chain vaping. If you are looking for something small convenient to carry, and only going to run it at 8-10watts. I would recommend the Erl mini. If you don't care about size, or the bottom fill. Then the Lemo is slightly better for the simple fact it is easier to wick. If I was forced to choose just one for me. It would be the Erl min. just fits my vaping style better. As you can see i am pretty torn between the two. Hopefully this helps a little bit!

Agreed completely. I'd like to add that the Erl is easier to wick ONCE YOU FIGURE IT OUT. I can rebuild the Erl in 5-7 min. from start to finish, including cleaning the tank.

It takes me a bit longer, but I like to use a flattened twisted wire build. 3 strands of 32 gauge twisted and flattened together. then 10 wraps at 2mm. using this technique:

There's little to no difference in helical coils except for resistance & number of wraps. Standard 28g, 6/5 wrap around a #4 machine screw (approx. 2.4mm) @1.2Ω, wicked with rayon or KGD, seems to be a great all-around RTA build from 10 to 20W. I use the twisted 30 when I want more wraps or lower resistance. I've had the Erl vaping great from .6Ω - 1.8Ω. It all depends on what you like.

I have used twisted 32 and 28 before finding the flattening video. The added step really seems to bring out a little bit more of the flavor. Must be the added surface area. I would suggest giving it a go. See what you think.

Well, you should know by now that I'm a committed tight-draw-low-wattage-tootle-puffer who just happens to like a bit more air than a Kayfun offers.

Go with an Erlkonigin clone then. More airflow than a Kayfun. You can tighten it up as tight as a PT2 w/AFC. Full-sized is shorter than a PT2 w/AFC, 2mm wider and holds 6mm of liquid. Get a nano kit for a couple of bucks and it's 10mm shorter and holds 3ml. I'll make you a video for rebuilding you'd like.
