Ger.... I was in that same boat. It appears handled - no such instances other than the one 0002xx series, and then only 40-50 units. I just asked the same question in the Cloupor thread - see my quote in billh's reply #1552 (he said 003xx but that was corrected)

Thanx Kent...It certainly does appear that they addressed the problem.

Now...I'm reinterested in the Clouper Mini. (From Kat's wonderful list the CM appears to be the smallest (currently available) mini mod with a replaceable 18650.)

[But...I'm still mentally .........ing over whether I could get used to its 0.8 second firing delay from Sleep...or not.]

I'm still mentally .........ing over whether I could get used to its 0.8 second firing delay from Sleep...or not.

The 0.8 second firing delay upon the display's reawakening from sleep is definitely present, and I worried about it before getting my Cloupor Mini 30W. Having used it now for over a month, I find the delay to be only a slight inconvenience. I learned very quickly to simply hold the firing button and slow down the beginning of my draw a little bit (I'm a mouth-to-lung vaper exclusively) when the display is sleeping. The learning was nearly automatic and is now second-nature.

I also experience a slight ramp-up in firing under normal conditions, compared to the instant, full-tilt firing of my other boxes (iSticks, iPV Minis, Kanger KBOXes). Reaching full power takes about 0.3 seconds. That may or may not be objectively true, but that's how it feels to me. The adjustable positive pin in the 510 connection is not as convenient as a spring-loaded floating pin, but it works very well and may be more dependable in the long run. Every tank or RDA I've used on the Mini can be made sit flush with the top plate.

The 40 or 50 faulty units from the first production run gave Cloupor a serious black eye, and while the problem was addressed fairly quickly, the company wasn't as forthcoming or transparent as I would have liked.

On the plus side, the Cloupor Mini is truly tiny, yet feels very solid, with a nice heft (not "heavy," just substantial). It's the very definition of a powerful stealth vape. The buttons feel good---not cheap, and no rattle. The battery door is a joy. Changing batteries is easier and quicker than on any other box I own. A battery swap takes literally 15 seconds from start to finish. I appreciate that the Mini displays resistance in hundredths, not just tenths. I also like that the displayed resistance flashes when the set wattage translates to a voltage below 3.6, which is as low as the Mini goes. When most other boxes are set below their minimum voltage, they fire at a higher wattage but give no indication of doing so, leaving the user completely in the dark.

I've ordered a second Mini from GearBest for the same $29.99 shipped as my first one. At that price, the Mini is a good deal, in my opinion.

Thanx for the reassurance bill.

What battery do you use in your Clouper Mini?

The .8 firing delay is much less of an issue because the screen goes to sleep in 2 mins rather than 1 min like other clones with 1-2 sec delay. It's still annoying because I'm used to my rDNA40 and DNA30 that fires immediately. Yes, you can get used to it if it's your only mod. Otherwise, it's a great little device for under $30 ($28.46 at FT). I've had no issues with mine in over 2 months. It's just as easy to swap batteries as my rDNA40 (magnetic door). I would definitely recommend it to anyone on the fence about buying one. The only advice I would give is to not vape it while charging (pass-through). I initially used HE2 batteries in mine but started using my Efest 3100mah batteries (20a burst, 6.8a continuous) and have had no issues since I only vape it at 12w or less.

Has anyone mentioned the Athena Smart-30? It's shorter than the istick 50w, almost identical weight but a bit of a more awkward size.

I ordered one due to the istick 50w availability and It's $15 cheaper..

I plan on using the saving to upgrade the 18650's to LG 3200 mh1's.

Edit: Looks like it was added the first week of this month, my bad.

So I take it you like the Efest battery's better than the HE 2's ? I noticed the Panasonic seemed to last a little longer than the Lg he 4's.

Howdy SS stingray

Most of us Generaly are using Eleaf iSticks batteries in 20W 30W and for some the new 50Watt, there is even a 10W

The 20W and 30 W last for about 2 days usually
The new 50 W iStick has twice the battery then the 20 and 30W
The cost and quality for Eleaf iSticks is pretty good
However people here also have other small mods they like

KatDarling is the tread starter and she publishes the itybity mod list that is posted a few times a week here for small mods that sell for under $100 in a spreadsheet form

Great thread Kit, I've tried a ton of different things over the years and the small mods are my favorites.
My keepers so far: eGrip, eGo ONE (small one), Mini iStick with a GS16s.

Glad you're enjoying it, jj. :) I also love small mods (duh) and was so very happy when all these started hitting the shelves. Tell us about the eGo ONE?

I don't think I've updated The Sheet since my last update, but in case anyone needs the link again.......

OH! I did add a disclaimer.

Not really but I have 2 almost new efest batteries so I figured I'd just use them. I have 8 HE2's and use those in everything else.

I built both of these and they were under $100 ea. 3 hrs to build the mini. 5 hrs for the blue, mostly to get the screen centered in the window.
