Little itty bitty mods under $100.

5.0 to 5.5 watts, and I usually settle into the 5.0-5.2 range. It's bad enough that I don't favor my sigelei 75W as the 5.0 setting runs a little too hot for me. Plus I try to find mods that have a setting well below 5.0 in case they also run hot!

I've also ordered from fasttech. They're fine, but not if you're in a hurry, and my delivery average seems to be around 3 weeks.

That's becoming the norm. Unfortunately. More than half my vape mail arrives without being updated anymore.

Well the thing I'm awaiting hasn't yet hit the US as far as I can tell -- but when the tracking is down, it feels a bit like when the phone or internet is down. :D And I know once it does hit the US, it'll be stuck at the NYC ISC for at least a week.

Checking tracking is a bad habit. lol. I have a lot of my deliveries go to a friends just because they have better mail service and my mailperson leaves a lot to be desired. I've had things stuck in customs but usually can't figure that out until after it's delivered. Then it's updated. If I need it now, I think Desert Vapes has the fastest shipping in the west.

My sweet spot remains at about 7 to 9 watts, usually using 1.5 ohm coils. All this high wattage gear is lost on me. The good and bad news is that I'm about to go broke on super sales of last years stuff. It makes me nervous that stuff I like might not be made anymore. I also get frustrated when there's no mention if something has step down just in case I don't want to vape at higher wattages. I've found a number of mods that say 5w to 7w to be doubtful they really go that low.

Innokin, Kanger and Aspire complained to pp that FT was selling counterfiets or weren't an authorized reseller so pp cut them off with those products. You can buy a gift cert and then use that or the bit coin thing. Usually on the right hand side under the specs there will be a note saying pp is not available for this product. Some things are still ok like I picked up authentic subtank and atlantis bases and auth subtank rba with pp, no problems. Authentic coils are usually always out. The rest is hit and miss.

I think bit coin may play an increasing role in ecig sales in the future. I was in a group buy and some of the alternate payment forms are tightening up also.

Chinese designers are getting more and more original. Top filling subtanks for example. FT is good because they offer a wide variety that's easy to compare and active, honest user feedback. Some of the discussion threads can be highly informative, some are kinda raw too since for the most part they aren't moderated. I don't know of any other site outside of ECF that's as helpful as some of the FT threads when it comes to tinkering, fixing and opinions on what works and what doesn't. There's databases on what chips are used, thread compatability, battery specs, all user contributed. Awesome vape porn thread.

Shipping depends on world politics. Recently 17 bombs were delivered in China. Needless to say anything like a tube mod was returned to the shipper. That's been ironed out and shipping has returned to normal. Keep an eye on the customer forums for signs of delays as that's where they will be announced, often by customers.

When all goes well, I can get items within 7 to 14 days after they are shipped. Ordering things in stock or available next day and they will be packaged and shipped within 24 to 48 hours. Expect a longer wait if ETA is 5 to 7 days because that's a date set by the manufacturer and FT doesn't have it yet. There's a variety of reasons that date can get pushed back including FT refusing the item for QC. My Kabuki was shipped in 3 days even though ETA was 7 days. Ya' never know. It's also possible for 1 item to hold up shipment and then just tell FT it's ok to split shipment or cancel that item. You'll get a gift cert for anything they owe you.

FT offers a 3 month warrenty on most items and RMA's are to a Florida warehouse. That's why I got started buying through them is because the warrenty was better than many US vendors. FT cs is very responsive with most questions answered within 24 hrs even if the site says 2 to 4 days. They are also very good about taking product requests and pre sale questions.

None of the other chinese sites have the active customer base that FT does and I find I miss the reviews. I also tend to expect clones to have lesser quality machining, need tinkering or missing parts, etc. so responsive cs is just as important as everything else and that seems to be missing elsewhere. Recently I made a test order with 3Fvape largely because they are active on another unmentionable forum and on FB to customer issues. I got notice of shipment within 24 hrs, authentic coils was accepted using pp which wouldn't work with FT. So far, signs are good.

I can't find the same stuff at US vendors but then I buy non essentials like drip tips, colored tanks, bell caps, orings and mech mods can't be beat. Some FT user is always game for tearing a mod apart to see what makes it tick. lol. But that's what I luv about them. No other vendor allows such raw feedback.

If FT says "authentic" then it is, if they say "styled" then that's what it is. Was it worth saving $1? Well, considering shipping costs it's more like $5 and having an extra warrenty period, it could be, that is if it can be found stateside and often parts can't be found. Try finding nautilus bases. I only know of 2 US vendors and Aspire which takes 3 weeks. FT is a great place to view the widest variety of vape gear with the most reviews, pics and vids from actual users.

Just pay attention to what is happening in the rest of the world when it comes to shipping. FT doesn't have a crystal ball into the future. They are usually the first to notify customers of shipping problems.

Great post, aikanae! I completely agree with everything you've said. A lot that gets blamed on FT for slow shipping really isn't their fault at all. I've often found that my orders spend more time sitting in the US then it took for them to get here in the first place. Our postal system just gets worse by the day.

One thing I really love about FT is that I can find parts to my rebuildables that no one else stocks. And at low prices. So I can grab a bunch of spare glass or PMMA tanks for most of my rebuildables and not worry so much about the future. They have become one of my favorite vendors.

A bell cap and subtank base = a good cheap clearo. The same for nautilus and atlantis. Hard to beat. Too bad I haven't had good luck with their clone coils.

Strongly agree. :)

Once the package is shipped, it's out of FT's hands, so to speak. I've had several packages from China stuck in customs in San Francisco for days.

Our postal system is still OK, IMO, most of the time. Not as fast as we might want it to be, but it does work. It's a big country. I have no major complaints.

Did I just jinx it?

I think DV may have the fastest shipping in the COUNTRY -- when I ordered my sigelei zmax from them, I ordered it on a Saturday afternoon about 4pm -- which was 1pm their time. I got it Monday about noon -- 3 days before I got the batteries for it!

You're right about the tracking-checking; since I ordered this shisha strawberry from Poland, I've been trying to only check it every other day or so, just because I know it will take AT LEAST 2 wks to get here.... but gosh darn it, I'm impatient!

Uh oh. Inawere. E. Europe and Russia is horse and buggy. Don't think about it for 8 weeks min. Now usps will seem great. Vape Super Saver has magically fast shipping too. I don't know how a few can do so well.

Has anyone tried the Jedi? That's a cute little mod and it's showing up on sale in places.

Yes, Inawera, but I always order from e-aromashop.com -- MUCH!!! better prices! (their price WITH the VAT is lower than Inawera.com's WITHOUT the VAT!) Though I still haven't figured out a way to avoid paying that stupid VAT, since I don't live in the EU; going thru e-aromashop makes it less painful.

I bought 2 Jedis from VapeNW during their Black Friday sale. I like them a lot. They're very small, just a smidge bigger than an iStick 30w, and they use a removable battery, which I'm big on right now. I bought them for my vapocalypse stash, but I know I'm probably going to dig one out now and again for going out and about. My iStick seems to slowly be dying. It's only lasting about 4 hours now. :(

ETA: Where are you seeing sales on them? I might buy a couple more for the right price.

I have not ordered from FT...and don't suppose I will, really. It's possible, but I'm just not seeing it right now.

As a Tootler I seem to tend to hover around 7 to 7.5 watts. I am using GS Air 1.5 coils mostly (Using the Aspire BVCs in the Cero tank). I just changed out an Aspire coil that I'd been using 6 weeks. The GS Air coil I have right now in my GS Air M has lasted 6 weeks, too...and shows no sign of dying yet. Can't tell ya how delighted that makes me!

That's one of the things I love about the GS Airs. They just work without any fussing around, and they're cheap. Plus, if you ever get the urge to rebuild, the coils are rebuildable.

One of my problems is that I vape stuff that makes motor oil look like water. If I lived in a cold climate it would probably be a black gel. I alternate with unflavored or I'd never be able to get away with it.I can't stay away from coffee!
