Hi

I am over 2 months in to using my riva 510 with standard attys and blue foam

Up until a few days ago everything was going well I even found a new supplier with some tasty juice

Now I am finding the throat hit doesnt seem to be strong enough, so I made sure my batts were charged I was using fresh attys and new a piece of blue foam.

The juice from my new supplier is much thinner from my previous supplier even tho they were both PG

I have cleaned my hardware throughly etc but am at a loss as to why this could be happening?>

Funnily enough every now and then when I inhale I will get a really good hit but its just not consistent.

Any ideas / advice on how to resolve this would be very much appreciated

Thanks in advance..

Sounds as if you may be flooding your atty. You said "juice from my new supplier is much thinner from my previous supplier", which means it will wick faster from your blue foam to the atty. Simple solution would be to try a very slightly bigger piece of blue foam in the cartridge, it should slow the thin juice down a little.

thanks for your reply

Usually its simple to inhale and draw on but sometimes its as if something is blocked? dont know if that makes sense?

I also noticed the vapour production has decreased...

Sometimes I feel as if the same flavoured juice has no taste whatsoever compared to other times when I get a beautiful after taste, why would that be??

Hi Xirolx,

It may just be your body starting to adjust to no longer taking in the the hundreds of different ingredients from analogues.

You say you have bought fresh attie? Have you tried the LR atties? They may well help you as they give more throat hit & tend to produce more vapour.

PG juices do tend to be pretty thin, I prefer a 50/50 mix.

should the foam I am using be big or small? is there a rule like bigger the better or smaller the better?

I received 2 attys with my kit on day 1 I used 1 off them and there was nothing, so I tried the other and it was music to my ears...Someone told me that the LR attys are weaker then the standard ones, I then purchased 5 more standard ones and they have been great, so I have never used LR attys

Now someone told me the LR are better for vapour production and throat hit so I am a bit confused...

I did try a brand new atty and it was the same..I even tried it with a diff cart, diff foam and diff flavour

thanks for your reply

how do i tell the difference between a standard atty and a LR one?

it was associated with the old juice as well but not so identifible, it only happened 2 - 3 weeks after using this new juice...

see with my old juice, I thought it was thick only after getting the new juice, then after being on the new juice for a week, I went back to the old juice and realised the TH and after taste of flavour was none existant, so took up the new thinner juice supplier, now I am at that stage again with the new supplier - hope that makes sense?

The riva batteries are reported to have better life expectancy that 2 months. If the time to charge and / or the time they last is still about the same, they should be good. You may want to try a different juice or supplier, if you can get sample sizes and see if the flavor ant TH are better. Juices can vary greatly between vendors.

Maybe not so much a bad batch, but just not to your liking. Different juice from different suppliers can vary GREATLY!! Part of vaping is finding the flavor from a vendor that has the right TH, and strength, and flavor for you. There are a million reviews of juice on ECF but everyone's taste is different.....

Glad you found your "problem" :)
