Now, it seems, you have decided that i am the one making disparaging comments and remarks.

It's actually you who are making these remarks, to me.

Learn some respect !.

Here's something for you to learn.

Attack the post, not the poster !.

Let's recap shall we?

Those in inform are ridiculously stupid, pretentious wannabe detectives who just serve to annoy pretty much everyone they meet.

You don't see suited detectives shooting random African Americans to death !.

May as well be talking to geese !.

You're living in a fantasy world.

What's even more ignorant is that several people agree with you.

Are you drunk ?.

So yes.... If you are going to make disparaging remarks then you should educate yourself on what you are talking about 1st... I mean you don't have to and can keep on spewing hate, put downs, and disparaging remarks if you'd like.. Most will read them, shake their head in derision and move on...

Well I'll chime in with all seriousness.

I've never had a bad experience with cops. Like everyone they have bad days and good, and sometimes they have to do things they don't want to do (as sometimes the law can be a double edged sword)

But overall, cops are overwhelmingly good people.

I have used traffic cops as my own personal dating pool a time or two in my day, and my age has always been seen through the eyes of cops (no tickets just dates and phone numbers prior to 27.. after 27 the older cops were no longer falling for it.. lol.. and some of the younger ones were no longer flirting.. now? I'm the hot granny for the older gentleman police officers and everyone's mom otherwise hahaha.. stopped getting tickets again woohoo!)

But nah, that's just life for real.. cops have a job to do and I'm notoriously not doing something - or pushing too hard on some pedals.. lol.

There was a day in my life after I left my exhusband, and left state, in fear for my life, it was a race to the courthouse for full custody - and he got there first. . Cops came to my door one night to take the children and give my husband the kids, my son was ...... and my daughter in my arms screaming don't let them take me and holding on for dear life..

Cop had no choice and pried her off me.. thing was he saw the truth, a truth that judge hadn't seen because the order was in my absence, but there was a court order involved...

Cops that night were awesome, and came back and checked up on me to make sure I was okay on a regular basis thereafter until I got the kids back and their dad was barred from ever seeing them again..

Life is life, and I've not a bad word to say.

Like one cop once said to me "I'm here to catch bad guys, and your not a bad guy" I've just never met one who gave me a hard time.

I made one post. Ever since then i've been defending myself from your personal attacks. And not one person has said anything about my original post, except for you and your continuous, monotonous trolling.

There are bad Law Enforcement officers out there but they are few and far in-between... By that same token there are bad people in every profession. If an accountant gets caught cooking the books are all accountants corrupt thieves?

The only time most people interact with the police is when they've broken the law, are need of help because they've been the victim of a crime or are involved in an accident. None of those are pleasant experiences to begin with for the person(s) involved. Factor in that many don't understand what the police can and can't do in specific situations and away the hate flows...

I always recommend, mostly to deaf ears, that people see of their local Law Enforcement offers citizen academies or civilian ride alongs. Those can go a long way in helping skeptics understand why and how some things are done ect...

I've quoted your disparaging remarks...

I've not personally attacked you, I've asked you to educate yourself before continuing to make disparaging remarks about others in general....

So again, lets recap your crude comments:

Definite hot topic.

I want to say support our police bigtime - they have a tough job - and I have had many positive encounters - although I do know there are good and bad everywhere including law enforcement and I am cautious. I think it is important for anyone to be cautious and extra important for females especially when traveling alone. My concern, and I believe it is a valid one, is that if an officer sees me driving at 2 or 3 am on an isolated road with my car full of vape that they might think I am smoking something else and pull me over and I do not want to go through the hassle.

As far as having any issues I have not been pulled over in many years and think I have only been pulled over twice in my lifetime but I have had two not-so-nice encounters. I'll detail one here. This one I was not even pulled over. I have a heavy back east accent. I had moved to the west coast and just moved into an apartment. I was in town for not even a week. My Mom was with me because she came to help me and she had gone out to the store so I was alone. I was 22. There was LOUD banging on my door - LOUD and they are screaming "Police open this door now". I peek out the window that was near the door and there were a number of officers outside my door. I was so scared and I would not open the door. I called 911 and they told me to open the door. I still would not open it and kept asking them what they wanted. They would not tell me and just kept screaming that they would have to go to plan B (I think that meant kick in my door). A few seconds later the manager of the property yelled through the door that he was there and would be my witness and to just open the door or the police were going to break it down. I opened the door and before I could even react one officer tried to walk in. I had no idea what they wanted. I blocked the door - stood right in the doorway - on the inside and had my hands spread out on each side and said, "Do you have a warrant" (thank God for cop shows) and the officer said, "Oh the little lady is trying to be cute". I said, "No, the little lady knows her rights". They stayed right outside the door and asked me for my ID and I had to leave the door open (don't know if that is legal - he put his hand and palm on the door when I tried to close it) while I got it. I got the ID and threw it outside at the officer (would not do that now) while I was half screaming and crying. He picked it up and said, "Oh, it's not her". He handed me back my ID and they all turned around and left. No explanation. No I'm sorry. It ended up they were looking for someone who "sounded" like me and apparently looked like me (dark hair). They went to another apartment after terrorizing me and that young woman was sleeping and did not hear them. They busted down her door and it was not her either.

So being from New York where we are very cautious anyhow as a rule and then having the above happen makes me cautious when I am vaping in my car. Now that I am a bit older and wiser (hopefully) I try to plan ahead so I figure having a bottle of juice in its original container and trying not to be as mouthy as I usually am will help diffuse a situation if I am pulled over because if I am not screaming at you --- I am actually pretty personable :)

One thing i do know. Is that if i end up in front of a judge, i'll have no legal representation.

This is not good advice i'm trying to offer by the way.

I've found, in my experience, that prosecutors and judges respect a defendent more if they "stand up" and speak for themselves rather than having someone do it for them. In recent years this has helped me. I'm able to speak to magistrates and judges on a more human or personal level. The last time i appeared in a court i stood up and suggested my own punishment and the magistrates agreed, and the whole thing was over in five minutes. And i felt good about the result.

If you want to speak in a court house you have to stand up. That's all that is required.

I'm kind of done with it. Honestly telling a police officer ANY police department is bad is like banging your head against a brick wall, only it's like for infinite time in slow motion.

As I have repeatedly stated and you seem to misunderstand: I have lived in other jurisdictions and other COUNTRIES even and have had good experiences with police officers, consistently.

That is how I know when I encounter a BAD one. Perhaps my attitude could be nicer, certainly but it has in part been CREATED by my encounters with the PD HERE.

I'm in the middle of moving. Frankly, the PD where I am moving to seems rather efficient and helpful.

But you could have THIS dude watching Rodney King die and he would insist that no police officer has completed an error. EVER.

It is exactly the kind of, well, arrogance that I am not fond of even slightly from the PD here.

Perhaps you would care to share an error or mistake you have made in your career instead of your heartwarming "cops within a cops episode" which I find spectacularly dull but you are so proud of?

My attitude toward you is also generated by your own. Would you care to share a time where you helped a citizen in need rather than the stuff you ARE sharing? Or is it all busting dumb folks?

Your attitude is condescending.

Do I wish the PD were not present here? No, I don't. However, I do wish they had better training support and attitudes. At present the almost do more harm than good. Almost.

I was convicted when i was 13, that's 36 years ago, of robbery (mugging). I played no part in this crime at all. I was just a witness. The two guys i was with decided, without notice to mug this other guy, next thing i know the police come to arrest me, i get charged, found guilty and convicted for robbery. This is still on my record. I still don't know how this happened to me.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I did narcotics investigations so ah, um, yeah all I did was bust dumb folks

Telling someone to educate themselves who makes disparaging remarks about something they are clueless over is condescending? L O L

Gonna hafta call complete BS here unless at 13 you were charged, tried and convicted as an adult.... Which BTW, the chances of happening based on what you've said (a mugging) would be -----> zero!

Because everytime i might re-appear in court for whatever reason, i am judged on my existing criminal record. That's why i choose to defend myself in a court case, i ask the court to read the files etc. I've been let down by solicitors and barristers several times in the past. All because they don't read the files, they just read the headlines. Hopeless they are, hopeless !.

How could someone, who, wasn't accused by the victim of robbery in the victims statement, get convicted of robbery if the police, CPS and solicitors/barristers aren't all completely incompetent.

No, i'll represent myself these days. I get much better results.
