Sorry, but I'm slightly confused. If I'm using the Kick in an extended 18650 device, but at only around 7 watts, would I be better off with the Panasonic's, the AW IMR 1600's or the AW IMR 2000's?

The AW IMR seems to holds it voltage better. The kick will stop working correctly around 3.2V underload.

I find that the AW IMR 1600 works better for me.

David also pointed this out in his post, if using the Kick

The Panasonic does have over 300 mAh more at the 3.3Volt cutoff where the Kick would turn off. (however, that is measured with a 2.5amp draw, so it may be less if we up the amps, though it may remain proportionately the same, we will see as i'm going to test a 5amps)

Panasonic IMR 2250 mAh at 3.3V: 1814mAh

AW IMR 1600mha at 3.3V: 1438mAh

The AW IMR seems to holds it voltage better. The kick will stop working correctly around 3.2V underload.

Haha, yeah, that's actually the post that confused me! :)

I must be reading it wrong as it seems to me like the Panasonic lasted for 1814mAh before the kick shut off and the AW IMR 1600 only lasted for 1438mAh before the kick shut off, which would make the Panasonic's better. But I'm using Panasonic's from Super-T and they don't seem to be lasting very long which is why I asked.

It's kind of a toss up, the 1600mAh i would recommend over the 2000mAh for all mechanical as it holds higher voltage under load, but a kicked device which draws down to 3.3V, you may see additional run time with the 2000mAh.

David, didn't want to start a new thread but I was wondering about the difference between the AW 18650 1600 mAh and the 2000mAh. Is this a replacement ? Does it have the same profile you have graphed for the 1600 ?? Or do you think it has given up some of that for more mAh like the panny ???.....Thanks

Is there an ETA for AW IMR 18650 2000mAh which are currently out of stock? I sold my ProVari to a friend and sent her along with some of my olde 1600s, I'd like to fix her up with some fresh ones.

Good morning Snork! How was your weekend?

Later this week or early next week we should have some more in Snork.

Thank you, I'll keep an eye out.
Weekends are when I work the hardest, but it's all worth it when Monday comes and I get to sit back and watch everybody else's rat race.
