I've vaped higher nic before from dekang, ovale, Liqua and Janty and premium juice too. I never had this prickly / pins and needles feeling on my tongue before.

I bought the local house stuff (they said it's Hangsen 50VG/50PG and they re-brand it) at only 6mg and have mixed it with zero nic liquids that were fine to get 3mg and now they're all kind of prickly on my tongue, first a salty sensation and now just so kind of prickly (not throat just tongue) in my nautilus mini, subtank nano and even in an EVOD on a 650mah ego battery, that it is making my taste buds sore and ruins the flavours completely.

I have RY4, Vanilla, Caramel and all 3 give this prickly feeling on my tongue on their own or mixed with better 0mg juice.

I read there is good nic and bad nic somewhere, do you think this is the case, they are using cheap nicotine?

I've sampled lots of juice at higher than 6mg from midrange and premium brands and never had this feeling before, it's ruining the vape and I feel I wasted the money and I've been mixing it with really good juice too and it's making them all prickly on the tongue too.

Anyone know what is going on here? Is this enough of a case to ask for my money back?

I vape about 4ml a day.

I would say you are having a flavoring or artificial sweetner reaction. I had the same issue when I first started vaping and found that many commercial juices caused this problem for me. I almost quit vaping because of this. I do all DIY now and still have to reject several flavoring because of this issue.
The only Hangsen I can vape is some of their tobacco flavors.

It is likely either a flavoring issue as @Robert Cromwell mentioned above, or a nicotine issue as you suggested. While I wouldn't go so far as to call it "bad" and instead would call it "different". Some nicotine is flavorless, others do have a flavor, some I found to be especially "peppery" and they did have an associated "tingle" to them that I found distasteful as well.

In any case I am pretty sure e juice is a buyer beware situation with no returns/refunds, and is the number one reason to go to a B&M shop to sample first. Unless you have friend that vape and let you sample theirs. Some vendors might let you return/exchange, you could ask them.
