Okay - this rag-fest on B&Ms is un needed. There are three vape stores in my area, and they ASSUME you know real from clone, and they tell you they have clones, and they tell you clones are the way to see if you wanna spend the cheddar on the real deal.
But to just go off on ALL B&Ms is stupid. So friggin STOP IT.
With respect, I think some ragging is quite needed, and even healthy. I have gone to a few dozen B&M's around Los Angeles, hoping to find some good backup plans for when I don't want to order online. Without exageration, 9 out of 10 of them are either incompetent (I know this, as I'm semi new to vaping, and seem to know more than most owners) or they are just in it for a quick buck. Now, the other 1 out of 10, are great establisments, great to their customers, and have loyal regulars. I've also noticed that the owners of these are all deeply passionate about vaping, which is contagious among the rest of the staff.
But the lack of customer service regarding any sort of return policy is a bad trend that needs to be addressed. Not even adhering to the 3 state law here. And to top things off; all of the Yelp reviews are next to stellar- which makes me seriously question if there is not some underhanded business at play.
I can only speak from my personal experience, just the same as you, but I think it's fair to call out larger issue with B&M's, especially since they are the make or break for people investigating vaping...but all too many feel ripped off and never return. I don't have a solution, but I think it's fair to say it out loud in hopes that people will be careful when choosing their local one, or even to drive them to change some of their ways.
I would gladly pay a premium to support a local business, but so few have left me wanting to.
