I wont post any names dont know if thats ok or not. My local B&M which I frequent often sold me the wrong wire the other day, I went to take it exchange it for what I asked for and the manager made every excuse not to. Yesterday I stopped in and I see they have some patriot clones, obvious clones. Black one caught my eye thought it would look pretty great on my raptor that I built. Even better it DOES NOT HAVE A LOGO.

They told me it was authentic and it was 79.99

Man what a bummer

I have a local B&M close to me, they have a whole display case FULL of clones, at authentic pricing. I've only been in there twice, it's one of those places you walk into, and you could be more intelligent on vaping than anyone in the building and they treat you like you've never ever tried one before, bunch of fowl mouthed kids working in there. I REFUSE to give them my money.

Stories like this make me sad, then I vape some and forget ... about ... This one time, ... At Band Camp ...

But seriously, that sucks. Both B&Ms near me are awesome.

They've always answered my questions, even when I was a noob and some were pretty stupid, but they never made me feel that way.

They discuss the pros AND cons of different Mods and Attys.

They replaced a sticking button on my Stingray X I bought there for free

The owner drilled out my IPV screws and replaced them with magnets for free, no charge for even the magnets (voids the warranty though, but he made sure I understood that first)

They build everything new you buy there if you want, or even if it's not new and you are having trouble (they don't just do it, but teach you and explain all they are doing)

They are quite friendly and as business permits, will have long discussions with you on everything.

Sorry your experience sucked.

Yeah, Me either, but I saw one of the employee's IPVs with the magnets and I asked him where did he get that done, and he said the owner did it for him.

so I asked the owner, "what would it take for you to do the same for mine?" ... His reply, "put it in my hand" ... 10 minutes - boom done!

I just started having some close up vision issues and NOT having to put the tiny screwdriver in the even tinier screw is AWESOME.

Okay - this rag-fest on B&Ms is un needed. There are three vape stores in my area, and they ASSUME you know real from clone, and they tell you they have clones, and they tell you clones are the way to see if you wanna spend the cheddar on the real deal.

But to just go off on ALL B&Ms is stupid. So friggin STOP IT.

With respect, I think some ragging is quite needed, and even healthy. I have gone to a few dozen B&M's around Los Angeles, hoping to find some good backup plans for when I don't want to order online. Without exageration, 9 out of 10 of them are either incompetent (I know this, as I'm semi new to vaping, and seem to know more than most owners) or they are just in it for a quick buck. Now, the other 1 out of 10, are great establisments, great to their customers, and have loyal regulars. I've also noticed that the owners of these are all deeply passionate about vaping, which is contagious among the rest of the staff.

But the lack of customer service regarding any sort of return policy is a bad trend that needs to be addressed. Not even adhering to the 3 state law here. And to top things off; all of the Yelp reviews are next to stellar- which makes me seriously question if there is not some underhanded business at play.

I can only speak from my personal experience, just the same as you, but I think it's fair to call out larger issue with B&M's, especially since they are the make or break for people investigating vaping...but all too many feel ripped off and never return. I don't have a solution, but I think it's fair to say it out loud in hopes that people will be careful when choosing their local one, or even to drive them to change some of their ways.

I would gladly pay a premium to support a local business, but so few have left me wanting to.

I wholeheartedly agree with drysprocket's post. Where I live vape shops are popping up like whac a moles. That I've found, there are three that are outstanding, two that are very good, and the rest, (and that's a lot), are middling to downright terrible. People need to know that every vape shop that they go to isn't necessarily honest or knowledgeable, because they are not.
