Today I did my first build on a V1 Odin, 2.5mm 29ga single coil 1.2Ω, I am loving it! Wide open it is a nice lung hitter and closed down I get really decent MTL performance. I really like the beefy screws and deep well on this thing, and the AFC is a huge plus for me.

Well I finally received mine (V2). I put a 24ga .80 ohm single coil. AFC wide open. I'm really digging it. It was worth the wait!! For me it is chucking the vapor. My lungs are small and have been abused by 40 yrs of smoking, so if I blow a cloud that blocks out the TV for a few seconds, I'm impressed :) I ended up putting it on my new Woodville and put the Derringer on the new used SL LP. I'm a happy Vaper right about now.

got my derringer today. great little atty too--almost a hybrid of in terms of vapor/flavor of the odin/nuppin--only not as much vapor and hit as the odin. great flavor though!

still think the Odin will be my go-to, just because it hits hard and is built solid like no other. especially when I'm having drinks and want that bite--the odin delivers. also never had a leaking problem from it, provided I vape it a couple times after each squonk.

I love the v1 Odin... I have 4 of them. I had considered getting a v2, but the v1 has plenty of air for me. I even run an Odin V1 with ni200 for temp control. Single coil with dual air.

I also have an RM2 (no longer used)
Had a cyclone and a hornet (sold them)
1 Derringer that I modded
A couple generic 14mm that I modded
2 CAM Rogues

Soon to be modded to BF
Lancia
Stillare v3
Authentic Colt

Of all of these, The Odin give me the best flavor... yes, I get better flavor from the Odin than the RM2. Might be the build, maybe just me.

The Odin does hit HARD... So much that my wife just cant handle it. But, they are awesome for me!

Hope you are enjoying it!
Thanks,
Geo

I get great flavor as well so I'm always really surprised when I see someone comment that Odin's aren't good for flavor. I'm like like...Say What?? o_O
In fact many of my nicoticket juices I dilute by fifty percent with unflavored to tame the flavor down a bit.

And I'm surprised by the flipside. It goes to show, everyone should experiment to see what atty works for them. I say the odin is poor flavor - you say it's great - next in line can't say without trying the beast themselves :)

I love the odin because it turned me onto non-rm2 atties. I was pretty content until I tried the odin. Then it was a game changer. I don't M2L at all anymore :)

I envy you folks who can dilute the juice due to too much flavour. My sense of taste is awful and I have yet to be overpowered by too extreme a vape in that respect.

For me, the Odin is great with 'sensation' juices - spearmint, cinnamon, etc. (things that you feel, not just taste) - and it's a really sturdy steam engine. Other atties, however (e.g., Derringer, Nuppin', and even the RM2), bring (and hey, this is just me talking - YMMV) not necessarily a more pronounced flavour, but a more complete & rounded flavour.

I have some juices that are fairly complex, with 4 or 5 components. On an Odin, I get 1 or 2 dominant notes. With the other atties, I get all of them.

I think the flavor issue with vaping is quite the complex topic all on it own minus our atties. I go flavor blind some days and either can't taste my juice or it won't taste right. Then a day or two later, despite using the same juice and build, my ability to taste comes back like there was never anything wrong. We don't know why that happens but I find it very interesting that it does and would like to understand what triggers it. I've often wondered if that plays a role in how people come to their conclusions about atties. I know in my own experience I can't judge an attie's flavor ability unless my buds are working as they should but they so often go wonky, sometime for a couple of weeks at a time, and when that happens and I have a new attie I'm trying, unless I don't like it's airflow or ease of build, I'll give it several tries over several days before I make a final determination on it's flavor capabilities because I know it could very well be me that's not working right.

Ah, the beauty of high VG unflavored nic base :). It taste the same in any atty :)

I'm considering just vaping unflavored because my ability to taste the flavors comes and goes as well (mostly goes lately) I have different flavors set up in different mods and even switching between them I lose the taste after a few drags. It's strange.

I have noticed tho that I'm still getting good flavor from the mod with the Odin v2 on it. Maybe it's the extra air that's helping it. I don't know.

So do my non complex diy juices. That's why I thought the rogue had good flavor when I tried it - then I loaded up a complex juice and the nuances were washed away. I imagine slothdae would taste fine in an Odin. Nicoticket, nah :)

Papa nailed it on the head - his thoughts match mine exactly and he said it better than I could have.

I'm a firm believer that, in general, the smaller, 18mm class attys are better flavor producers, especially nuanced flavors, than larger 22mm attys. it's why I still like my Atomics(RM4s) and Nuppins. The one exception, for me, is the MantaV2. It's a monster flavor atty, even though it's 22mm. But the chamber in the top cap is domed, and is reduced to about 15mm. It rivals the Atomic and the Nuppin for flavor.
