I have this one to get better air flow without having a single large hole to leak. I'm curious to try the Pdib slit to see if I get better air flow without increased dribbling of juice. The concept is you still maintain adequate surface tension to keep from leaking. YMMV as I expect there is a difference in surface tension between 100% VG and a 100% PG.

These are positioned at each end of my wick

Thanks for the link filthy. Hmmm... the slit is interesting. (and pdibs artwork hilarious)

Your right in concluding that you can't just drill out one giant hole without the RM2 turning into a crybaby. I wasted a cap going > 1/8" a while ago. Multiple holes or that slit with surface tension keeping juice at bay seems the way to go. (and I do indeed vape 100% VG so...)

I think I just may give the slit a try. It's really smart/clever IMO. I don't have a proper file for it, (thin enough) but I'm thinking maybe a little saw action with a serrated blade would do the trick with ease. My extra caps aren't do to arrive till Saturday, I'll let you know how it goes. I'd do it on my existing caps but the holes in them are larger/taller than I'd initially make the slit, so I'd reckon it would somewhat counter-act the whole surface tension concept. Need a virgin cap to try this one out.

Two problems no one has mentioned with the Odin.

I got mine on Monday and built a dual-coil at .47ohm. Started vaping that night. By noon Tuesday I'd gone through 20ml of juice and had to make an emergency run to my local B&M for more. I also found that having a battery charger at work was not a luxury but needed to keep up with my battery dropping from 4.2 to 3.7v in half a day. No, I can't smoke in the office/lab just massive clouds/flavor while outside.

I currently run RM4s (single and dual) on my other LP Grands and RM2's on my mini's. The RM4s last all day and the RM2s most of the day. Not the Odin.

I'm still happy with RM2s and still put them on the Grands sometimes. But this Odin has my other REO's whining about being left out of the cloud party.
When you get an LP on the way in seriously think about the Odin. (Just stock up on juice and batteries before it arrives).

I noticed this same thing about the Odin. I can put the same dual build in it as my RM4, but I go through juice and batts nearly two times as fast. At first I thought it was my batteries, but then noticed that my juice was almost empty - so it was right on time... I have been trying to take note of differences to see why, and I noticed that I'm actually able to get 2 more hits out of the Odin before I have to squonk again vs the RM4 - and all the hits seem to have more vapour production than the RM4, and I'm thinking that's where its at, as I haven't noticed anything else yet...

Well, my caps actually came in yesterday, I did the Pdib slit, and I must say it vapes friggin' fantastic. Ironically, my preferred drip tip doesn't quite fit in the new cap, so I just started vaping it without a drip tip at all just like dib's does, and really like it actually. No drip tip makes an already pocket friendly Grand even more pocket friendly to boot.

I started out with a razer thin slit, and ended up grinding away at it until I was happy and ended up here.

(forgive the blue light. I got a new eagletac multi-color EDC sized flashlight recently, and now I can't stop walking around lighting everything up red, green, or blue... I'm easily amused by such things.:p)

It ain't aesthetically pretty, but who cares when she's chuckin so sweet. Might as well go full dib's and paint some eyes on it, that's just too funny not to do. I'll pick up some small paint sharpies next time I'm out shopping and get that done. :D

What an awesome update to breathe new life into my old/first Reo and RM2.

The whole surface tension concept is quite smart, it really does work. I can squonk the entire RM2 chamber full and not a single drop escapes the slit. It's all just held in there with the tension. Genius.

Now I have a more juice consumption friendly single coil lung buster in my arsenal. Super happy today.

Cheers

I go through double the juice with my RM4 than I did back in the evod days. Mixing your own juice is the biggest savings you'll get from vaping vs analogs.

I just spent $50 for two GALLONS of Kosher/USP grade VG shipped to my door. That's ~7571mL. At an 80% VG/PG mix ratio this will allow me to make 9464 mL of juice so roughly 315 30mL bottles!
