My order was released with customs and it's been saying 17/05/2012 20:46 - VANCOUVER - Item was released by Customs and is now with Canada Post for processing - Canada Post for a long time who can I contact about this?

That won't work! I've got three orders from China sitting with Canada Post for close to two weeks now. I contacted CP and they said the tracking is not always updated and the packages are in transit. I pointed out that they could have walked from Vancouver by now and was told to wait a week for the "Backlog" to clear then call AGAIN. END OF CONVERSATION!!
And we support this organization with out tax dollars...WHY???

You order from China, you take the risk. Creating threads about it isn't going to change a thing.
Ordering from China is not the issue. The packages have arrived and cleared customs. It is Canada Post still holding them.
Your package will arrive in a day or 2.
Same thing happened to me - my Health Cabin package sat in customs for 1 day in Vancouver & took 10 days to arrive in Toronto - being your in North Bay, you'll probably have to add a couple more days.
And Canada Post is still holding them because they came from China
This is quite common for a Chinese package.
yeah,and this why tracking numbers are annoying,you can check evry freakin hrs you are awake
I'm in the same boat as you LC ... slow boat that is ... no update since clearing customs on the 18th ... I talked to Canada Post and only the shipper can ask for an investigation.

It just boils down to CP sucks. I get stuff faster from the west coast then I do from Ontario
Your package may have a low priority and CP sent it to the back of the line . Don't forget there was a hoiday in there this month too .
Status updates are only made when items gets out of customs,then processing at local post office,then out for delivery...hey,that is 3 updates!
