I received the Fogger by courier service (I thought it was sent by regular post, now I understand shipping costs better) yesterday and after thoroughly going through the formatting of batteries - 8 hours charge, 20 minutes use, 1 more hour charging - I found I love this device. It is small as the DX Health, but its performance is *much* better than my two 901s.

It does not need priming. It works with shorter puffs of a classical cigarette smoker style. Actually, if I suck on it as I did on the rest of my cigs, it gets too hot and the vapour is too thick, up to the point of being unpleasant. An attempt to draw it straight in lungs burns my throat badly, but that is OK, because I always liked mouthing the taste anyway. Well, not always, but we are not talking e-cig.com burning rubber flavour here. In this way it also imitates analog smoking in which people usually do not inhale straight into lungs. Generally, the vapour is rather hor or at least feeling hot. And that is with the cart. Driiping would probably burn my tongue, If I drew hard enough.

Topping was a nightmare when I tried it directly, but the inner cup gets loose VERY easily (pressing with a paperclip or even just hitting table with the cart) and fits nicely after I refill it. This way I can also clean the mouthpiece and prevent the fluid in the mouth problem.

Speaking of fluid, Red Cow is just heavenly. I am afraid it might even be addictive :D

With all the extras I got free it was one of the cheapest cigs I got (barring DX). Those who hesitated too long made a big mistake, I believe. I just hope the lollipop in the box was not a nicotine one, cause my 13-y-o ate it recently ;)

And I decided to put it to a test. I placed batteries from all the other cigs to a dark and cold place and started using this little demon as my only cig. I am really curious whether it can stand the pressure and how the warranty works, if needed. So this post is sort of a reminder of the time elapsed within the test. Hopefully, next relevant entries will be far away. We will see...

I have a couple of questions, though. To Ludo, I think.

1, Does heavy use (1-2ml a day) fall within warranty condition of proper use?

2, What does the stuff about liguid damaging atomiser "beyond recognition" in the manual mean? Is it forbidden to use dripping methods? (I sit at home looking after me other half, but if and when I leave for a longer time it would be easier just to drip than to do the clockmaker tricks with refilling a cart.)

3, The mouthpiece is really tight. Perfect for use, but when I put it on the atomiser hisses and when pulled off the atomiser even glowed red once. Is that normal? It is rather difficult to pull it off slowly. It holds and when you pull stronger, just lets go - with the atomizer burning effect.

4, What does BLINKING green light on the USB charger means? I let the battery to charge for about an hour and when I got to it the charger was blinking like 2-seconds red, 2 green. This was normal in-use charging, not the initial one.

Otherwise, the device is just marvellous. I bought it because it was beautiful, but its performance very quickly outweighed its looks. I just hope it will survive the test of not just casual use.

Feel free to add your experience.

This device is awesome, as battery life decreases performance maintains the same consistent level, which can be a problem because I can't really tell when the battery is starting to die, all of a sudden it just stops working.

The hits this thing gives can be way too much to handle, I have to agree this thing is very close to a real cig, just a short drag and you get just as much smoke as an analog.

As far as size and comfort this thing is as close to the real thing as it gets, I can drive my stick shift and hold this thing in my mouth as I'm driving and still take a drag off of it.

Like everything there are a few issues,

The mouthpiece fits on the atomiser way too tight, you have too twist and pull, I get nervous everytime I have to change carts; just because the atomiser is so delicate.

I have experienced the changing carts and seeing the glowing atomiser and when you put the cart back on it does vape on it's own, not really an issue now but it could be in the future.

The worst part about it is the fluid in the mouth phenom, even just a 2 drop top off will make it's way in my mouth after only 2-3 hits, also after a few hits you can get a dry atomiser hit even though the cart is wet, I have been dripping empty carts the night before and then blowing them to move the fluid toward the atomiser before I take a drag, I have never used a supermini before so I don't know if this is a comon problem, but I'm messing around with these carts way too much, including the presoaked ones it came with; so no I'm not over filling.

Other then that this thing is great, and with all the extras this thing came with, considering the price? forgetaboutit

How do you fill empty carts? I push them out with a paper clip, dry the outside of the inner container with a handkerchief and the inside of the mouthpiece with the cotton stick for cleaning kids ears, fill the cart, push it back into the mouthpiece - and I do not have problems with liquid in my mouth. When you do it this way, you are sure everything but the filling of the cart is completely dry.

I love the minifogger also. However, the fluid in the mouth thing is discouraging to say the least and almost enough to keep me from using it. Another issue is extremely short battery and cartridge life although I am getting a replacement battery, so we shall see. I love the cartridges, but they seem to have extremely short life also. If anyone can tell me what I might be doing wrong, I would appreciate it. I love the vapor, the taste, the looks; but these other problems are driving me away from it.

When I'm @ the house I use the syringe method
@ work I top the carts off or drip

I know it's not the issue where the fluid gets in the air gaps, I can get fluid in the mouth toward the end of the cart still.
Also it's not the dragging too hard issue, as I said before just a lil drag produces way more smoke then my lungs can handle

I think it's size, maybe it's not as bad as I make it out to be, just seems like I have to fuss with it more often, but then again it's a mini

Yes, just now both my batteries went flat unexpectedly. But then, the shortest allowed charge time is 20 minutes, maximum 60 minutes. I think I can be without a drag for half an hour, maybe even a full hour:). But then, I am at home. Outside that might be a big problem. "One Guiness, please, and a socket to charge my cigarette. Yes, extension cord would be nice, thank you" ;)

Just figured out why I was getting vape in mouth toward the end of the carts life. It's because I was being a cheap lazy SOB and when I blew the liquid back up toward the atomiser it was going up the sides given me a full no juice in mouth smoke and then my next smoke would produce the juice in mouth.

But in my defense these carts are super small, they don't last very long before they start to give dry hits, looks like I might have to put an order in and start filling up 10 carts at a time and stop trying to stretch the life of the carts

Hello All,

I jumped on the band wagon to get a mini fogger. I got mine on the 12/15/08, and promptly returned it on 12/17/08. This may be a good unit for some, but not for me. The style is great as is the weight, but the 2-3 second cut-off does not appeal to me. I am a very heavy smoker, but wanted to give this a try. As with all mini's, battery life is very short as is cartridge life. Janty accepted the return with "no questions asked". This speaks very highly of their customer service. This will insure that I will try their products in the future, like the "Dura". My mini fogger delivered very little throat hit, but did produce a lot of vapor. Refilling the carts was a major pain though. Maybe I expected to much from a mini, but I will continue to use my DSE 901b until I decide to get a pen style. Hope this helps a few of you in your decisions in the near future.

Got my Mini Fogger charged up yesterday, and used it while running around town shopping. I have to say I really like the shorter drags and the amount of vapor produced, it really much more approximates the old analogs. I compared it to my first super-mini (the one that is so disliked on the dispreferences poll) and the mini fogger is vastly superior in every regard.

I do have a question however. I see some really great feedback about the m401 around here, and the replacement parts seem a bit cheaper than the mini fogger's. How do these two devices compare in regards to performance and reliability?

Well I have been using my mini fogger for a few days now and must say I am really impressed with it. For such a small device it produces impressive amounts of vapor and has a great taste. What I am really impressed with though is the battery charge time vs usage time, and not having to wait 4 hours for a battery to charge. I am getting a good 2 to 3 hours vaping out of a charge :) It took a bit of getting used to like all new e-cigs, was sucking a bit hard (it has a very light draw) and getting a liquid in the mouth problem on the first day but this seems not to happen now. I do wipe the inner cart like Frankie though when I refill. The atomiser does empty the cart well and there is no drop off in performance on the battery during use. Overall I have found it to be great little e-cig and is an excellent size for social situations. I wasn't over keen on the fargo taste but filled with RY4 or marlboro it is good, very good. I will say it is very cigarette like though in how it works, which will definitely please a lot of people. I think it would be a good introduction e-cig for those who want to try vaping.

I got my mini fogger about 10 days ago. I loved the draw, the taste, the feel and looks of it.....but then it died. Neither battery or atomizer seem to work at all now. No light comes on when I draw on it and no vapor is produced. A couple of days ago, the atomizer sparked and the light blinked off and on rather furiously. I guess I will need to return it. It is a shame since I just got new cartridges and liquid in the mail today. I am very disappointed because this was the first e cigarette I felt I would use regularly.

It would be an interesting comparison. I have the M401 in a couple of versions and am really impressed by it's performance, particularly battery life. However I ain't buying a MiniFogger just to compare. If anyone in the UK wants to swap for a few days we might get a comparison.

Well, you still have the second to use while they replace the first. I hope you will tell how they did in this respect, warranty I mean. It´s a real shame both atomizer and battery died on yours at the same time. I am really curious how the replacement process works. Especially if you have to pay full shipping cost for the new spare part.

Haven't given up on this device yet
But.....

One atomiser died a few days ago, and now the other one is getting hot after only 2 hits and shutting down the unit

Tried to save the first one but it's dead

The bats are still good though
Just have to say thanks that it's not my only device,
not to mention I haven't given up the devil sticks yet:evil:
Haven't contacted Janty yet but they were real cool about sending me the USB charger plus a gift

It seems this will be a very short-term test after all. Being too late for me to wait for the battery to charge so I can have a few last drags before sleep I screwed in the other battery, the one I rarely used before. It started itself, heated up the atomizer so much it burned my fingers and started emitting burnt plastic smell. I unscrewed it immediately, but it was too late. Now it lights up the LED but does not produce any heat for the atomizer. Tomorrow morning I will charge the battery I normally use and try to see if the atomizer survived. Then I will send that faulty part back for replacement. being just before Christmas, no one knows when the replacement gets to me. I am also unsure of how the warranty really works there and how much it costs:(

Unfortunately, I have to say my $15 DX Health Minicig lasted much longer than the Mini Fogger. It only had one battery and it was still working after 2 weeks when I put it away to start with the only brand name product I ever bought. Grrr.
