Anyone else looking back on when they started vaping and are a little overwhelmed by how things have progressed? I think of the gear I had then and wonder how I actually stuck at it! Makes me think about what's gonna be around in a few years.
Dare I ask what those were used for?I remember cutting up all those Lipton Pyramid teabags...

I have no desire to get that Provari.
The conversion rate was very low way back then, and you had to overcome a lot of frustration if you wanted to make it stick.I have only been vaping for a little over a year and this thread makes me happy I wasn't around for the beginning. Thanks to all you pioneers who stuck it out till the good stuff came along![]()
In the ~2009 era the only thing they had was the 3 piece cig look alike which had a little cartridge filled with a foam material to hold the juice. The blue foam, tea bags, straws, etc,etc were all efforts to make them hold more juice or wick better.
Then a guy in the UK called "Trog" came along and changed vaping forever.
I find it ironic that vaping has gone full circle through the VV/VW craze, and all the different cartos/clearos, and different tanks, etc, back to a LR atomizer (now a RBA) on a mechanical PV just like Trogs first mod. You can still buy a "Screwdriver" BTW.
Personal opinion of course:
I think we have now explored pretty much everything we can do with the batteries that we have available at this time. We will continue to see improvements in the heads that we are using. But, the next big breakthrough will be in the base fluids that we use for e-liquids.

After fiddling around with blue foam and pyramid teabags, it wasn't until I just started dripping that I was sure I was going to make it work for me.
