To be honest, before starting vaping, I have to admit that if I had seen someone pulling out an 8" x 1.5" metal tube out of their pocket and start sucking on, it would have given me cause for a double-take  The sizes - and weight - of some of these devices are, in my opinion, getting ridiculous ...and that's what makes it ridiculous. If anything, I think that's what would keep me from vaping in public (if I had such a device).

I probably will pull the trigger on a Provari Mini ...someday, but there are box mods and the INNOKIN iTaste VV V3 that are much smaller. I'm currently liking the size of my Volt X2s.

First of all not trying to hijack this thread.
This statement is definitely for the 50 plus crowd who grew up in the sixties.
But ever since I got my itaste svd.
You know what pops to mind while carrying it and using it.
I know most remember H.R. Puffnstuff lol that magic
talking flute Tommy always carried in his pocket....
It constantly pops into my head....
Ok done
A 1960's mod:D

I haven't really been in the vaping scene long enough for anyone to say anything besides my friends on my softball team. Only time will tell though, and I am sure it's going to happen. On a side note, I converted my sister and my mom is asking A LOT of questions! I am thinking of getting her a setup for a Christmas gift. Maybe an extra early Christmas gift! :)

I vape my mods openly and proudly. I am careful to respect the owner of any private property's wishes before doing so, but once I have the green light, out comes the ProVari (or whatever mod I have). Now if I am outside or whatever, I just vape away.

Had an interesting conversation with rent-a-cop yesterday at Short Pump Mall (outdoor mall) and said "you can't smoke that in here." I replied that I am not smoking at all. And he tells me something like, "I know you people say that is safe, but we don't allow smoking of any kind here". He then tells me he confiscated one the other day. Well now he has my full attention with the "you people" crack, and veiled threats of confiscation. I said, "well I am sure the person who let you take it had their reasons. You are not touching my property under any circumstances." Now after you deliver a line like that, you have to stare right into their eyes for a few seconds, so I did just that. I then told him that the State's Attorney General has already ruled that vaping is NOT smoking and smoking bans do not apply to it, since the definition of smoking in Virginia refers to combustion.

He says he is not sure if that is true, but that I better put that away. I tell him he better go talk to his supervisor and get his facts together. I put it away temporarily until the security stooge was gone. It was easier to move on than fix that guy. I hope he will remember that experience before taking someone's PV next time.

+100!! Way to stand your ground, Edd!!

Thankfully our mall (Woodfield Mall Schaumburg, IL) has a vaping kiosk and that guy is always blowing clouds of vapor everywhere. I proudly vape there and as I pick up items at Whole Foods and Tilted Kilt. Tilted Kilt opening accepts it in our area. I would have never made it through the Stanley Cup finals without my Provari at Tilted Kilt. Go Hawks!

It still does make me self conscious pulling out my PV in public, but I'm fairly new and I'm sure that will pass soon. I usually stealth vape inside, so I draw as little attention as possible...However, I saw a vaper in the wild on Friday night using his PV at the bar of one of my favorite establishments. It was actually pretty cool, I went up to him and we talked about when we started and so forth. That's the third person I have ran into in less than a month that vapes.

I also like to pop out to the smoking section still. It's actually how I learned about eGos rather than the cig-a-likes. A former smoker started using it in the smoking section, so for about a month a bunch of us started picking his brain about it. After people saw that it worked for him, there have been 11 people in our building (including me) that use to smoke now converted. So at the chance that I may help someone make the switch, I welcome the opportunity to discuss my device if asked. I am not going to be self righteous about it, but just educate if people ask questions.

Cheers

I couldn't care less what people think.

I definitely agree. My brother reiterated this when he visited a week ago while we we were talking about our children who are both autistic.

I don't care what the hell a stranger thinks. Most likely I'll never see that person ever again.

I will vap when out and about, but mostly in my car. At parties ill vap away, since most people around here are switching over. That being said I just use ego batteries. the 650mah vaporking storm for work and walking and the 900mah twiste for parties and home use. FOr me the sizes of alot of devices are to big and look weird in your pocket, i dont even like carrying my twiste with a protank around.

I like to vap on the way into the supermarket (i don't vape it inside) but i get people looking but i don't care :p

In the car is funny because as people go past they see vapour "smoke" in my car and a bright blue LED and just think what is he smoking! LOL

On another not i was vaping at my cousins yesterday and he tried it and said he's going to buy on today!! Converted someone already!!

Mostly family and friends ask what its like and have a taste and ask all the technical questions which i'm happy to answer, makes me look smart :p

Can't wait for my EVOD kit! That's going trip people out HE HE!!
