I've been vaping for about 5 weeks. I have a Vamo v3 with a a Kanger Protank on it, and my rda atty. I stick with the variable wattage so I don't have to do math. Usually around the 8 watt range. But I always check my ohms law calculator, and wattage chart if I'm unsure of anything. I use Panasonic NCR 18650 3400 MAH. It last me almost two days of heavy vaping. I was a little apprehensive to step up to the apv mod world. But I'm sooooo glad I did! I don't even touch my egos anymore.
I would suggest a vamo, or a sid. Thay are pretty cheap (under $50) and easy to use. Stay away from mech mods untill you become a little more experienced. I've been researching on ECF for awhile now. Some day ill make the jump to a mech. I just need to know more on battery safety.
But I will say from experience. APV's are the way to go for serious vaping
Thx for the the info and I'm actually relieved to read this that I'm not alone w/being nervous about stepping up to a mod. Mech mod, no way for me. My pea brain and lack of any mechanical skills would not get me to this level, at least not now.
Mods, from what I've read, can be very cool and hopefully enhance my vape experience but I know it also comes with educating myself and using safety measures and common sense. I plan on buying the best batts and chargers that I can. I wll not skimp on safety. I still shudder thinking about that poor guy in Fl and actually didn't want a mod at first when I heard about that. But I believe he was using stacked batts...something I'm never going to do.
I plan on getting AW-IMR 18490 w/the Provari mini/extender. The charger I'm still researching. I am excited, but nervous so I'm researching, studying, watching vids...everything now and when I have it all put together and comfortable, I'm purchasing it. I've got a good set up now so it's not like I have to have it today. It's a big investment and I want to do it right.
Except, the stupid things keep getting in the way like what color for the mod itself and what color LED lights?!?! LOLOLOL
