Both of these tanks should work without issue on my new Vamo, correct?

Carto tanks work with Vamos. I haven't used those tanks so don't know how they perform. Haven't used fasttech's cartos either. I've heard they are ok. I've used different brand cartos on the Vamo with no problems. Its worked with every attachment I've put on it.

Thanks! From what I had gathered the one carto that is included with each tank was nothing special (or particularly good), hence buying 2 boxes of Boge cartos that SHOULD be perfectly compatible with both tanks, or so is my sincere hope anyway. I suppose I won't know for certain until it all arrives.

I hope they don't get held up too much shipping their Vamo kits out! I ordered one on Sunday...HOPING it will get here before the 16th..that's Fathers Day..ordered it for my hubby. Also ordered the adapter for it..I got him the SS one..sounds like may not need it? If not, no biggie...wasn't that much $$. I Checked a bit ago and my order is still just under the "Order Received" Status. It probably won't get here by the 16th...Oh well!

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but the vamo has 2 settings, mean and rms. They make a big difference in how it performs, if you hold the "+" sign for a while it will show "no1" or "no2" I think no2 is the rms setting, its what i have mine set on.

Yes - RMS is the one to set it to - no2. RMS is accurate - i.e. what you set is what it outputs. The other option ,a mean average, or no1, is an average and will fire at a higher power than the set on the display. First thing to do is check its set to no 2 and then leave it on no 2. Good heads up dhughey.

Just out of curiosity for those who ordered through Fast tech did you get the metal or rubber buttons? I gifted my spare vamo to a buddy and he took it to a b&m where it "broke" as they inspected it. They replaced it with a refurb but it had the rubber buttons and I wasn't a fan.

The FT Vamo comes with metal buttons. Sounds like they replaced it with an "eGo/ SLB style" button.

With the Vamo you have two battery options: 18650 or 18350. I recommend getting two sets (4 total) of the 18350’s. You can reduce the physical size of the Vamo by using one 18350. Or use it in full size using two 18350's. Using two 18350's gives you a little longer vape time over using one 18650. I have also read that only by using two 18350's can you reach the full 15 watt power output of the Vamo.

Not too sure if it has already been mentioned or not (reading from the start of the thread) but I wanted to warn you about stacking batteries. It can be very dangrous even with the IMR chemicaliy safe batteries. As some manufactures have called it "crittical failure leading to rapid disassembly" which means blow your face off. Also if you stack they are suppose to be used and charged in pairs (treating the 2 batteries as one). Now I am not saying that it will happen, all I am saying is that you should research. Also I always suggest that anybody getting into RBA's or APV's that use removable batteries get a multimeter and learn how to use it. I like talking and reading the posts, but its hard to do that with out a face or hands.

RBA with removable batteries? RBA means rebuildable atomizer doesn't it? what does the atomizer have to do with it? do RBA's need more volts compared to a 2.5 ohm atty?

doesn't the vamo have a built in multimeter?

Am I likely to need to go to 15 watts? I figured i would get one 18350 batt and only use it in the short configuration to minimize safety issues.

Howdy folks!

My Vamo arrived this afternoon! Ordered it in late May, so it took a little more than 2 weeks to get to me. Only had it for about 3 hours or so, but so far I love it! The Nitecore charger and Panasonic batteries are both supposed to be of high quality, and so far work great. I have the 18650 battery in it now and get no rattle aside from a slight rattle from the firing button. Pretty damn heavy without the battery in it, but also feels solid. Buttons on it appear to be metal and NOT plastic (FWIW, I ordered the gunmetal/black colored Vamo). Was set to RMS mode out of the box, and I am happily vaping away in VW mode. Already giving me a slight headache! I never had a way to check the resistance of my attached devices before, so now I am checking everything I attach to it for fun! Definitely can hear the "rattlesnake sound" associated with the 33.3 Hz chip in these devices, but it's not terribly loud.

Kanger T3 tanks fit on it without issue. Definitely need to be cautious when unscrewing them from the Vamo as the base of the Kanger tank is completely recessed when attached, so you need to gently unscrew the tank by holding the body and hope that you're not unscrewing it from the base of the tank. Seems to not really be an issue as long as it's not tightened down much in the first place. As soon as I feel resistance, I stop screwing the tank down. I did get a 510 to Ego adapter in case I needed it but it is VERY tight screwing into the 510 threads on the Vamo and I was afraid I would strip the threading out. I did get the T3 attached to the adapter but the draw on it seemed very tight. Sometimes it wouldn't fire at all with the adapter attached. Regardless, I don't see myself using that particular adapter (ordered from Fasttech also - did I get the wrong one? https://www.fasttech.com/products/1284600), but for $2 I am not worried about it.

Overall, very pleased with the kit so far! Will report back if there are any issues.

Again, thank you all for your input!:D
