The Reason Why I suggest the xtar Charger is that it uses advanced Algorithms to charge your batteries.

It costs around $15.00-$25.00 but over a year or two time you'll save money because your batteries will last longer.

Also the cheap trustfire chargers, very rarely have been known not to shut off and bad things have happened.

My Xtar [Knock on Wood] precisely shuts off at about 4.15V which is ideal for preserving a battery.

buy the best and pass up the rest.
spend once now, or twice later.
i like provari, they're made in the usa, they make me happy.
i don't live in china, so i'd rather not support them.
buy what makes you happy, and you will be.
it really doesn't matter what you use, how much you spend.
the point is, you're not smoking.
life is short, and you can't take it with you....
play with it 'till you're bored, then get a new one.

Another Alternative ...

Sigelei Telescoping ZMax V3 Flat-Top
- Stainless Steel, Brushed Finish, Flat-Top Design
- 18350 Mode = SEXY!

Had it for a week now, been working well with no problems.

I ordered one of these, yesterday, along with another provari mini.

For the price, it looks very promising. I ordered the body only.

- Andy . . . Don't let the Ciggieman getcha . . . Vape'em.

I'm liking my evic a lot. Probably not the most robust one out there, but I think it makes up for it with the passthrough ability and I really love the screens ability to show resistance, voltage, wattage and battery life simultaneously. I wasn't too worried about the 5 volt/11 watt limits, as I figure I'm not yet to the point where that matters, and knowing how I operate, I will have APVs with greater capabilities in the future. Got it here at mikeusa.com with a 30% off coupon code (evic). Total cost was just under $80 shipped.

Got my order today and upon first glance the eVic looks good, charging it at the moment, the twist ring is a little flimsy... eh...

But it PALES in comparison to the ProVari Mini, OMG no one could have explained how beautiful that device is... You have to see it, feel it to believe it... :hubba:

The quality is right up there, I would say its the iPhone of Mods but it is honestly better than that, the button, the look, the paint, right down to the butter smooth way the threads line up... I am amazed and it is definitely worth the money... Can't wait to get another one at some point...

Anyways I will stop drooling now... worst thing is I can't use the ProVari until my batteries arrive

If you are on the fence about getting one... just do it, you will not regret it

Oh and the ZAP looks awesome too except for one small imperfection on the rim of the top cap, looks like its been dropped...

I am considering to send it back, at the price they cost, they should be 100% perfect

send it back, fast.
calm down and blow some vapor rings.

lol SteamDaddy :toast:

Other good thing about the eVic is it will fit almost anything by removing the top cap, can't do this on the ProVari but considering the quality I'm happy for them to keep some proprietary fittings on there...

that's what that little shiney adapter is for

I have been thinking about the EVIC and was talking to someone that sad the guts are great but the case could use some work i.e. built flimsy. I have an MVP now for regular use but would like to move on to VW as well cause I just dont fiddle with the VVlike I thought I would. Does anyone know of somewhere to buy an aftermarket case something more sturdy for the EVIC I have heard they are out there just not where. I also think I would use the software as I am working towards quitting.

Yeah I saw that one, looks nice but I was swayed away after seeing PBusardo review knocking the menu as difficult to navigate.

*Anything* with a single button is difficult to navigate, IMHO.

Vamo, no extra tubes to buy (350, 2x350, 500, 650), the best value, 5 amp switch, VV and VW (plus volts, impedance, etc.), ego and 510 threads, and the easiest user interface out there... a *single* press to do anything (I can hold down both buttons with my thumb to switch VV - VW) besides shutting it off or turning it on (five clicks, like anything else).

If I might make a suggestion buy a plastic wrap around to protect it. Many of the Provariatus have complained that the color ones aren't that durable. So a clear wrap will provide protection.

I have a vamo and a vmax and several spinners etc. The vamo is by far the most affordable user friendly starter mod. It is also the most versatile. The vmax hits really hot and takes some getting used to. Provari simply too much money when you can get virtually the same thing for 40 bucks in a vamo or zmax
Go with the vamo then you can move on from there. I seen many posts of people who went through lots of expensive mods and ended up going back to the vamo. Personally I intend to buy more different mods but I love my vamo and glad I bought it first. Good luck hope this helps.

Once again a lot of love for the Vamo! eVic has been going well, love the screen and twist dial, its a good set up but yeah the case does feel a bit soft compared with the ProVari.

I haven't seen a Vamo personally but would the construction quality be similar to the ProVari? I honestly can't imagine anything coming close to it, I know its expensive but they definitely FEEL like they are worth the money. Haven't been able to use it yet, batteries in the post...

Tom, any links to the ProVari wrap? Having trouble finding it on google...
