I've had my Vision Spinner w/ EVOD setup for over 6 months and I'm ready to try an inexpensive rebuildable. Pretty sure I want a dripper so I've been looking at the Igo-s, A6 mini, and A7 mini. Are there any other options I should be looking at?

Also, since this is my first step into rebuildables, I need an ohm meter, wire, and possibly a drip tip depending on which rda I get so I'd prefer to get everything at one place. I like the Igo-S but I'm having trouble finding it in stock on a site that also carries everything else I need. I found the A6 dual coil and A7 on okcvapes and I like that it comes with a screwdriver since I may need one of those too, plus I can grab an omnitester and wire there.

As far as building it, I was thinking 30ga instead of 28ga since the decks on these are so small and aiming for around 1.5+ohms to keep my spinner happy. I have cotton balls at home I can use.

Thanks!

Id go with the a-6 or 7, you could also try an igoW but its not 14mm.
And yes i would stick to 30-32g for the pen style batterys
I actually started with a similar setup just to test the waters ego-c-twist 1300, and a igoW

ive got a phoenix rda on my ego. its 14mm, has a deep well, and its very inexpensive. but igo-s is a good choice too. so is the A7, but youll need to "fix" the 510 pin on the A7 so it wont short. its an easy fix, but its necessary IMO. just remove the 510 pin (its screws in and out), cut a small strip of a carto condom, and wrap the strip around the threads of the 510 screw and replace the screw. or just loosen the screw and tuck the strip into the 510 housing with a tiny screwdriver perhaps.

for wire, i would personally go with 28g. much more sturdy than 30 or 32 and easier to replace wicks when its sturdy (this is assuming youre wrapping micro-coils). if you wrap 10 times around a 1/16" drill bit, youll get around 1.4Ω. thats the build i have in mine and my evod ego doesnt break a sweat.

if you want the option of having a tank (RTA) that can convert into a dripper (RDA), go for a kayfun mini. its 14mm and performs nicely. they can be had for 30 bucks or less. i have the ivogo model from AngelCigs and im very happy with it. thats whats on my other evod battery and between the two of them, they make for some awfully nice on-the-go lightweight stealthy setups.

Sweet, thanks for the input. Pretty sure I'm gonna snag the A6, omnitester, and wire at okcvapes today!

Quick question, the A6 is dual coil but can I leave one of the posts empty and just use single coils for practice? If I got 28ga wire do you think it would be feasible to build a 1.5+ohm dual coil in something this small?

I personally think 30g is perfect for dual coils on my A6, and yes, you can just build one coil at a time. Got mine from OKC as well. Got here fast and no complaints.
You might want to look on ebay for wire. 100' usually runs about $6, including shipping.

I would advise not going below 1.6ohm with those batteries.
Going with duals with personal experience those batteries just don't have the stuff to push through that much wire if you where to do duals id stick to 30g or even 32g, single on the other hand would be alright at around 1.6-1.8 with 28g, anything higher in resistance again id stick to 30-32 this is all from personal experience so take it for what it is.
Yes 28g is easier to work with, but if you torch(i use my gas stovetop) 30g before wrapping its just as easy to work with, 32 is a PITA always lol but has its uses

Vape safe and prosper its the future smoking sucks or however this phase goes!
That's gonna be my new Sig! Lol

Ok cool! Also in a lot of youtube videos I see people pinch their coils together so theres no space between loops, but in a lot of pictures I see spaced out coils. Whats the difference? Does it change the impedance or help with hot spots?

This would be a great read for you with a lot of technical info about the difference between contact and non-contact coils... Check it out... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/416271-micro-coils-increase-vapor-flavor-th.html
