Don't worry about scratching up the ipv if you opt for that one.... Just do what I did with mine once it's scratched up........

Do some more searching, but I've seen the Sig 50W for under $60. I paid $55.

They have the same chip so :thumb: there.

The Sig has a better finish IMO and comes with the silicon cover. You'll need a wrap for the ipv otherwise the finish all rubs off.

70W is 10W too many with a single 18650 IMO. So consider the ipv to really be a 60W mod. I'm sure you can hit 70 in certain circumstances for a short time, but if you want to vape that high, get a 2 battery 100/150W mod.

Don't really plan on using it at 70 watts. Was more i figured if i ever wanted to try rd.'s this would at least give me the option. Also looking for something smaller that fit decent in your pocket.

With the slightly smaller size, and rounded edges all around, the ipv is more pocket friendly. It is true the paint finish scratches easily, so don't pocket one with keys or the like unless you want to wrap it, repaint it/shine it up like mine or you don't care :p

70 watts isn't unreasonable on a good high drain battery (most of my mech builds were putting out around 80). True at that wattage you won't get loads of battery life, but you won't get less then a mech, and the vape will be consistent from start to finish. With my sub tank running at 25 watts I can go all day.

I'm currently running an efest IMR 18650 3.7 LI-mn 35A 2500mAh Button top in my IPV mini. Will this work in the IPV Mini2? Or do I have to buy a flattop battery

Just bear in mind 35A is the pulse rating, not the continuous. It may not be able to do 70W. You would need a Sony vtc4 for that.

I might sound a little stupid here but someone in another thread was talking about the IPV mini 2 not being able to buck or buck Down? Can anyone explain what that means?

Chips either boost only.....output voltage from battery level (4.2 volts) and up, or buck & boost, able to lower output below the level of the battery voltage (useful for those who like low wattage vaping)
The ipv mini 2 does buck, but only down to 3.6 volts, so if you are running a .5 ohm coil, the lowest wattage output you can achieve is 26 watts (well....25.9 watts :p). With a 1.2 ohm coil, the lowest becomes 10.8 watts. Ultimately not a big deal that it doesn't buck lower..... Who really wants to run a .5 ohm coil that low?
