Hi
Been vaping for a while now and have been buying various juices and been enjoying them, haven't had an analogue since.

When I first started vaping i was on 24mg juice and have managed to get down to the point where I'm on 6mg juice. Most of the juices I've been vaping are 70/30 and 50/50 mixes, I have a few 30/70 steeping at the moment to try. My favourite flavours at the moment are lemon menthol and cinnamon at the moment, want to try cinnamon and orange.

The next step for me is to get down to nic free juice, but instead of buying it I would like to try my had at making my own nic free juice (seems the next logical step).

I've tried searching without much success to find out how to make my own nic free juices, the guides I have found all seem to use nic bases, and the juice calculators also seem to have the nic base in there calculations.

Maybe I'm being dumb as a post and over thinking it, if someone could point me in the right direction of a good guide for creating your own nic free juice I would appreciate it so much.

I should then with luck be able to figure things out once i get a bit of knowledge under my belt.

Looking forward to replies

This should be pretty easy my friend. Grab some PG, VG and flavors and just start mixing! Easiest method for you would probably be:

-Mix a batch of PG/VG to your desired concentrations (using beakers, measuring cups, syringes, doesn't really matter as being off by 10% or so shouldn't really affect anything)

-take a few mls from your premixed PG/VG and start adding flavor a few % at a time. You can make small test batches with various percentages of the same flavor (2%, 4%, 6% for example), also try looking around here for percentage recommendations for each manufacturer.

-try your concoctions, take notes and adjust as necessary.

Forgot to mention I'm from the UK so where would be best places to get to get the PG/VG and flavourings, I see allot of US links?

Might take a look at Liberty Flights or Totally Wicked? You could even venture down to Italy to Flavour Art?

How will having no nic affect the throat hit or should i mix 6mg liquids, can the same be achieved with no nic?

No nic really zilches a throat hit. I've even met folks who mix their stuff to 1mg/ml so that they have some TH. There are plenty of ways to get a throat hit, but only nicotine gives a throat hit like nicotine.

Thanks for replies

Looks like loads of reading and you tube vids for me then :) I learn a lot quicker through doing / watching rather then reading (practically minded I guess) so this should be interesting.

Can you recommend a good series of Youtube videos?

This is still a hypothetical at the moment not sure how I feel having chemicals about with 3 small kids a mrs and 2 cats lol, but the idea of creating my own juices to my personal preference does interreg me a hell of a lot. 6mg seems to be my happy point though not sure what 1mg would be like.

I can never seem to find that perfect flavour balance in the juices I've brought, not strong enough, to strong, lemon, cinnamon, orange, menthol, lime, etc, etc, you get the idea. Everyone's palate different and I've enjoyed the juices I've tried.

I'm on a cinnamon and orange at moment from freedomvape.co.uk and I find it nice just not enough orange, can taste mainly cinnamon at the moment, Its only steeped for 1 1/2 weeks at moment so may improve with age :) I do like there lemon menthol though.
