Looking for a couple flavors

I ordered a small sample size of a maple pecan pie flavoring from a company and loved it.. So I ordered 30 mLs when the sample was all gone. The 30 mL got here and it just isn't the same. WAY too much maple, not nearly enough pecan pie. I've been thinking I should just try and figure out a recipe for a pecan pie vape rather than wasting more money..

Here's my problem. I've been trying to be very careful about not getting flavors with Diacetyl, Acetoin or Acetylpropionyl. Have switched greatly to Flavour Art in hopes of avoiding them. Try though I might I have yet to find any "crust" flavoring that doesn't contain them.

Looking for a pecan flavoring I have seen TFA has a pecan but they have no information about it on their website as far as containing the "custard notes"

Was hoping some of you fine folks might be able to help me find these two flavorings, "custard note"-free..

Here is a link for a good start for pecan pie. The guys in this thread are using FA Apple Pie and Cookie to get pie crust. And they too lament the lack of a Pecan from FA.

You could use that recipe, remove the KY Bourbon and the Cocoa. No custard notes even if you leave those 2 flavors. You could always increase the Nut Mix % to your liking, too.

Actually, after looking at the recipe a bit more...... increase the cookie to 1.5% and the apple pie to 2%. I now recall that after steeping, the crust didn't come through as well as I had hoped. You won't taste the apple, really. It's on the weaker side, just makes a really good crust. HIC taught me that.

Hmmm, sounds like a viable option. I've tried a bit of the Apple pie, and you're right, had to add some green Apple to it for noticeable Apple flavor. And ive been using the cookie with coconut, custard, fresh cream and vanilla classic for a coconut cream pie recipe I thought up. It works.
