Looking for a good 28G SS Build for Dual Coils

I got some 28G 316L SS wire earlier this week and I think I got a little bit too thin of a wire.... I have ordered some thicker 24g and 26g but until I get them could someone recommend a good build for a dual coil on a Billow V1 rta?


Right now I have about 8 wraps around a 2mm for about 0.5 Ohm.... I would like to achieve if possible somewhere closer to 0.2-0.3 Ohm but with the resistance of the 28G a little higher than I was expecting it is hard to only wrap the coil 4-5 times cause I dont really think that it'd be big enough length wise to heat up enough wick for good vapor production. Im wicking with rayon.

28ga around 2-2.5mm in 6-8 spaced wraps has worked very well for me. I like 8 wraps on a reg mod, while 6 works well in Titanium on a mech.

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that less is more for smallish/efficient builds like this. The real trial is getting enough liquid through it. I've never had trouble with the power, but mooving the 95% Vg juice through it has been troublesome.

Not familiar with the Billow, but the Zephyrus only has room for small coils like this so I've grown accustomed to it. Providing your wick is up to it you should be able to push 25-30W through a spaced coil this size. 50+W makes for some nice vapour; I'd stick with it.

Edit: looking at the build deck for the Billow, it's almost identical to the Zephyrus. I have a seven wrap build on one right now taking 50W and it's fantastic.

I buy my SS wire from Unkamen Supplies. Ralph, the owner is nice enough to answer any questions you might have or do custom orders through email. I have some 304 and 316L already and I have some 430 grade coming in the mail early next week. Ralph was kind enough to email me personally right when the 430 was available after he got the wire from the mill... Really looking forward to the 430 the stuff is supposed to be the best SS for TC. As of right now Unkamen has 22G and 28G only for the 430 grade but in the near future Ralph said he will be carrying 24G and 26G.
