Looking for a new smaller setup

Hello all.

I'm looking for a smaller e-cig configuration than i currently own. I have what I believe is commonly referred to as an e-hookah (refillable tank, big battery, etc) but personally i like the smaller cig-shaped design (Blu and the like). My local vape store doesn't have anything similar, and I don't even know where to start looking online, mostly because I don't know the proper terminology to search for. So I'm hoping someone out there can help me.

What I'm looking for is (necessity in descending order):
  • cigarette size/shape battery
  • tank (or whatever) is refillable with e-liquid
  • auto-vaping (no buttons)

To answer possible questions:
  • I'm currently using an eGo C Twist 900mAh with a Kanger Mini Protank II
  • It works fine for the most part. Tank size & battery life is good, but my main problem with it is that within about a week or so, the atomizer seems to have given all it will ever give (regardless of cleaning), and the vapor & flavor both get incredibly weak.
  • i know that the smaller size will mean shorter battery & tank life, and I'm ok with that.

If anyone has any ideas or tips, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

There's about 7 to 10 of them.

Greensmoke, V2, Volcano............
If you look for one that uses the 510 thread on you eGo battery you will at least have compatibility.

Alot of the cigalike use a different thread Kr808,
Make sure to use the right charger for the right battery; the charger for the eGo battery will kill the small cigalike batteries.

Electronic Cigarette Compatibility Guide

The list below contains some of the most popular brands of electronic cigarettes and the model types they are compatible with. The most important aspect of compatibility is the connection between the atomizer/cartomizer and the battery. Each of the following types refer to a particular design of that screw-on attachment.

The vast majority of electronic cigarettes on the market now have either 510 or KR808D-1 threads, but are marketed as a brand name with no reference to the standardized connection. Sticking with one of these two makes it very easy to interchange parts and upgrade batteries or accessories. It is probably a good idea to steer clear of any electronic cigarette that does not use one of those standards.

510
Threads on battery are female, threads on atomizer/cartomizer are male.
Most eGo/Riva/VGo models have 510 threads, but with outer threads for a cone or larger cartomizer.
Also compatible with 306 models.
Brands: Volcano
Joye
Blu
Eluma

KR808D-1/E-8
Threads on battery are male, threads on atomizer/cartomizer are female.
Brands: V2 Cigs
Bloog
Vapornine
Volt / Smokeless Image
Vapor 4 Life (V4L)
E-Smoke
Premium
Halo G6
E-Smoker Online
South Beach
Bull Smoke
Mistic
LeCig D-1
Eonsmoke
Magic Mist
Eversmoke

KR808D-2/E9
Threads on battery are female, threads on atomizer/cartomizer are male. Smoke 51 Duo Model
E-Smoke
Green Smoke

DSE-901
Somewhat compatible with KR808D-1. Same threads, but may not make connection or draw correctly.
Threads on battery are female, threads on atomizer/cartomizer are male.
Brands Choice 7

RN4081

An older style atomizer and cartridge configuration
Threads on battery are female, threads on atomizer/cartomizer are male. Brands:
NJOY
Smoke 51 Trio
Safe Cig
Smokeless Delite

The above list is far from complete and will be added to over time.

To me the best in class for cig-alikes is the Joye eRoll/Ovale eMini (same thing, different brands). The eRoll comes with a 1,000 mAh iPhone-like PCC. You take a few puffs from the regulated 3.7 volt 90 mAh battery and put it back in the PCC case.

I have much larger PVs at home but the eRoll is my goto for out and about. The battery is good for a full day of running errands. I also enjoy it at home when I just want to sit down, relax and enjoy the cig-alike form factor.

I've heard really great things about the joyetec eRolls. That would be my first choice if I was on the "cig-alike" route.

Nice write up here on ECF:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...eviews/397579-joyetech-eroll-user-review.html

There are a bunch of very highly regarded shops that carry the kit for a decent price online (60-70$ USD), or you can find them on ebay and the likes for about 40$ USD. Let me know if you want any more info on them. I've never owned one, but after researching them for my lady's mom, I wouldn't mind obtaining one ;).

Wow, thanks for all the quick responses!

At the moment, I think I'm leaning towards either Bloog or Volt, mostly based on the battery life. The 25-30 min life of the eRoll is just too small for me (I'm on my vape quite frequently). I know I could just set it back into the charger after I take a hit, but I know me and I'll forget :p

The weight of the eRoll however is a strong contender and not something I had thought about. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on that, at least on the sites that I've looked at so far. I assume the longer the battery life, the heavier the battery

The battery weighs 3/8 oz. It's light enough to vape hands free if that's an issue.

The starter kit comes with an extra battery but not the atomizer cone for it. Pick up an extra atomizer cone and you can have one eRoll charging while you use the other one. This is the info about the eRoll on the Joyetech site.

I like cigalike sizes too... I've got V2's, which I don't recommend mainly because they're not regulated, and I'm looking for another option. To me, the Volt looks good because it runs at steady voltage, but I'm still researching. (I have 2 iTaste vv's, btw, but still like the little guys when I'm out in public)

The light weight of the eRoll is nice, but you've pretty much got to carry the pcc around too, right? Anyway, I'm not against them... seem like nice products, but I'm put off by the short life too.

And yes, battery life is pretty rigidly tied to size...

Another vote for the eRoll. I tried the Volts and a few other minis, and the eRoll was my favorite. The PCC is light and small, about the size of an iPhone. It's easy to use and relatively hassle free. It worked better than any mini auto battery I ever owned, and almost as well as the Echo which says a lot. Despite using 3 year old technology, the Echo has the smoothest and easiest auto switch I've ever tried. The eRoll comes very close. Rocky Mountain Vapor makes it very affordable with the code 20rocky for 20% off, and they even include a second cone and an empty bottle with a needle tip for refilling the tanks. Comes out to about $48.00 for the kit.

Have you considered a mini eGo (350mah) with a LR EVOD?
Low cost alternative that will perform as well as the large devices.

Speaking from my own experience, smaller size has less to do with length and weight and more to do with diameter and profile. A cigalike blends in well with smokers, if that doesn't bother you, and is largely unnoticeable by the general public.

Also, if weight is a factor, even a mini eGo with a mini carto is going to be quite big and bulky compared to even the largest cigalike.

I agree, and what i always suggest. Packs a punch, too!

I have nearly every one mentioned here. The very best cig alikes I have found are the White Clouds. I have been using them for a year now. I still try new ones as I see them, but White Cloud has the best flavors, the most choices, the longest lasting batteries, and everything I like about vaping. The TeCab is an interesting little device. You don't hear much about it in the US, but it's popular in Europe. It is similar to the eCab, in that is has replaceable batteries, but it has a 510 connection, so devices like the Vision Nano can be used on it for variety. A downside to both the eCab and the eRoll is they use a proprietary atomizer system, so nothing else can be used. If you find you don't like it, you're stuck.

The TeCab batteries don't hold a charge for very long, but they are tiny, so you can carry spares.

Tecab Set

ETA: It is not an automatic.

Does the Tecab use the same batteries as the eCab? Because I know there's an adapter for the eCab so it can use 510 atomizers.

It takes a 10440 battery. I don't know what an eCab uses.

Here's Todd's second review of the TeCab after he had been using it for awhile: TeCab Follow Up - YouTube
