I would have posted in the new member forum but for whatever reason it won't let me. I started with ecigs several years ago with V4l and then went with an auto version of the ego....but it wasn't an ego...I forget the name. So, it has been a few years and now my cig stuff is all in a bag and the liquids must be bad by now and....well I was thinking of getting a new kit. But now I hear about all kinds of stuff even I don't understand. I just want a good vape, with a place I can put liquid that is long lasting and low maintenance. Anyone have any thoughts? If this isn't the right place to post this, forgive me. I don't have wifi at home and generally only have my phone which makes it difficult to navigate. Thanks.

Hi @vermonter16
I don't know if this is the right place.. I am kinda new here in the forum :)
Anyway there is not a objective answer to your question, it depends. So the ecig market evolved really fast especially in the last couple of year.. and new PV, Tanks and so on are coming out every day.. Personally I would suggest you an Ego One Mega BY Joyetech.. you fill up the juice, charge the internal battery via the provided USB charger cable (wall adapter is included also) and you are good to go. There is anyway one thing I found not good with the ego and are the stock coils.. I needed to buy what is called CLR coils - they are like the stocks but re-build-able.. to me they are the only coils for this mod that don't gives me a burned taste.. except this for me the ego one is a great fill the juice and go :)

It depends on what kind of vape you want. Do you mouth-to-lung (MTL) hit or suck the vape directly into your lungs? If you MTL, I always suggest the Aspire Nautilus. It's a great lil tank with decent stock coils and air flow options. You can run it on an eGo battery or put it on a mod. It needs about 7 to 20 watts depending on your preference. There is a mini version and a full size version. You can pick them up pretty cheap and the coils are easy to find.

Thanks for the replies. I am not a mouth to lung smoker...always tried and never could do it. That's why I couldn't smoke and ride a motorcycle at the same time, lol.

I see that the ecig market has completely evolved. I feel soo out of touch. Wish we had a shop nearby but not where I live.

I'll definitely do some research with all the suggestions! Thanks again and feel free to keep them coming.

If you've been out of it for awhile, you're gonna get alot of recs for equipment you don't understand on this thread, I've been vaping for 2 years and don't understand alot or care. With that in mind, this is what I've been recommending lately to new vapers and even experienced ones, the price is great for the quality because it's an earlier model Aspire, and this is the best price I've found by at least $15:

    Hey @vermonter16
I also started with V4L years back, and still have most of my diy juice stuff still boxed up. Will probably toss it, just to be on the safe side.
Coming back into the vape scene last month, a lot of things have changed. Luckily we have a couple shops nearby, where I could spend an hour or two talking and learning.
I ended up with an iStick 50w along with a Tobeco SuperTank. I didn't want to start on the low end with an non-adjustable device. Once I got used to vaping again, I could just turn up the wattage until I found my sweet spot. I highly recommend this tank, great flavor, top fill, and the stock coils last a good while. Coils also have large wicking holes, as I've never had a dry hit. It does go through the juice though.
Check out some youtube videos, there's a few reviews on this tank.
I've had an issue with my iStick, and have replaced it with an identical mod. So far, so good. But, just to be safe, we got a CoolFire IV in the mail today. Feels great in the hand, and seems like it will be a great device. Found it online, shipped for around $35. Not bad...will probably end up with another one.

btw, I can't post in 'New Users' either...I'm guessing it's because of our join date is so 'not new', lol.

    Good luck
