I have two Mini Davides. I like the form factor of the tanks but hate the airy draw (3 air holes) and the somewhat tiny fill slots. I want something black to match my Ego batteries so I can look cute. :)

Yeah, I know they draw light. But if your patient with the draw (draw it slowly and let the coil do it's job) you can get a ton of vapor out of it.
LOL...But I love the "so I can look cute" part.
I'm not sure, but I think the Davide might be coming out with colored replacement glass. One might be smoked. That would look really cool on a black eGo. Oh! that's right. Your going for CUTE...

So I may have just had an epiphany. We may be going about trying to interchange coils the wrong way. Everyone keeps trying to use EVOD, ProTank, and/or T3 heads in the ARO base with varying results BUT has anyone tried swapping around the whole base of the EVOD or T3 on the ARO? Like unscrew the whole EVOD base and try that on an ARO or the whole T3 base? I know the PT base of course will not work but maybe one of the others?

EDIT: Also has anyone tried swapping the stems on the heads around to see if that works?

That sucks! Anything else available that looks like an Evod in Pyrex? I want to get rid of my mini Davides for a more asthetically pleasing look. Black sheathing would match my batts.
The smoketech pyrex BCC does look like an EVOD, but it is a little bigger. Here's a side x side photo:

I got 2 of them yesterday, and so far, really like them. The draw is more airy than the EVOD, but I don't mind 'cause there's plenty of vapor- more than the EVOD. The flavor, unadulterated by plastic, is delicious! I'm using them with the installed 2.4ohm coils on an 3.7 volt 650mAh EVOD battery. I was able to easily screw one of the shorter EVOD coils into the Smoketech base, but have not tried firing one yet. When I do, I'll post back and let you know if it works.

I really like the form factor of this clearo. On my 650mAh batteries it's not too top heavy. I can confirm that they hold over 3ml of liquid. I filled a 3ml syringe with water- past the 3ml mark (probably 3.5), filled the tank, and there was still room for a little more!

If you're into color matching your clearos with your batteries, be aware that the blue ARO will not match the dark cobalt blue of an EVOD battery. It's more of a teal. I like the stainless ones, 'cause they look good on any color battery.

They are pretty:

pro tank heads, no, but the jury is still out regarding the older, shorter EVOD heads. I'll try one as soon as I get a chance, and let you all know if it works.

I tried the shorter/thinner stem evod heads and no luck either. Both types screw into the base just fine, but when you go to replace the bottom cap, it won't screw back on. Something to do with the head height below the stem.

Recieved the Aro yesterday. Pyrex with metal mouthpiece. I tried the same flavor in four tanks (Protank v1, Mini Davide, Aro, G50). The Aro had the best flavor by far. But it will not use Evod/Protank heads as people already know. But the Aro heads are only $1.50 at discount vapes.

So the drip tip is permanent, but can you take the unit completely apart for cleaning? Does the top cap with tip unscrew off, or is a press-fit with o-ring, or...?

OK that's better than being SOL but dang, $1.00 each?!?! The whole head is only $1.50 at many places. [...]

That does seem really steep. Next stop, looking for his supplier and buying in bulk... 100 for $10 sounds more like it. :D OTOH they shouldn't have to be replaced often and in time we probably won't use these little buggers anyway as there will be some other head design that becomes the standard. Until it changes again. Like computers all over again. Anyone else use a 300 baud modem in the late 80s to connect to local BB networks? I did! :)

Yes, you can't use your own drip tip. The top cap does not come off. It is on there for good.

If ya take a hammer to it, you probably could get it off. Hah. :)

So, yes, this might look goofy on an Ego. But I just fired it up, and it's certainly worth knowing about...my Hypertank is here.

- Pyrex
- Metal sheath to protect the Pyrex
- holds 5 ml. (FIVE)
- Remove/Replace drip tip
- ProTank heads
- and - it's vaping just fine. Draw is much smoother and quieter than a ProTank.

NO kidding!! That picture looks like you get about 100, but then scroll down further . . . .

Still glad to know I wouldn't be SOL, though :D

Looks exactly like the G50, except the Hypertank's stock drip tip looks a little bit better (more stylish). It is also cheaper than the G50, so maybe I payed too much! Darn it.
