Don't spend the money on a Provari. I have one and it is a great mod but cost me way too much. I use my Zmax v3 and Vamo the most. I also use some mechanical mods that work great. Nice thing about a mech is that they are smaller. Can cost as little as $15.00 or $200.00 if you want real pretty. I have the provari v2, Zmax v3 telescoping, Vamo 5 (before this had a v2), A K101 mech, #19E with the magnets update and have a Magneto on order. Use the Vamo the most next to that the mechs because they are smaller and then the Zmax and then the provari. in that order. Hope this helps. Like a lot of things it can be a subjective response. Depends on need, how pretty you want it, etc..

Since we're basically answering with our opinions, and not to step on any toes, but here's mine.

Keep in mind that you get what you pay for, essentially. While that statement isn't always true, and YMMV, but it's a good rule of thumb. If you buy a 20 dollar VV device, you're getting a 20 dollar device. I have a couple...they work, more or less. I doubt that their electronics are very accurate though. Most of them at the low price range are made of very low quality material. I had a VV Gripper when they came out. Again, it works...but I always felt like I was going to crush the thing.

When you work your way up the ladder, you'll have to find the point where you are comfortable with the quality and the price. I have a Silver Bullet with a kick and kick extension sleeve. The Bullet + Kick + Sleeve cost more than my ProVari. Considering that my kick bit the bullet (no pun intended) after about a year, and I had to replace it (the kick). I'd say it was a good investment, even if the kick was a bit touchy.

I've only had the ProVari for a few months now, so I can't say about the reliability of it in the long term, but compared to the kick/Bullet, the 18490 battery lasts about the same time in the ProVari as an 18650 did in my bullet. More than likely that was because of the limitations of the kick itself though.

A couple of my friends have the Vamo, and they're happy with them. I'm sorry that I can't provide anything further than a philosophical response to this, but hopefully it will help in your decision.

There are several good inexpensive vv/vw mods on the market, but they are not as good as a ProVari. I have a nice stainless steel Sigelei mini Zmax 3 and it's a good device, but it's a bit noisy and the quality of vape is not as smooth and flawless as ProVari's. As a matter of fact, the only APV that matches the vape quality of a ProVari is the iTaste MVP 2 that you just ordered. So, if the vape quality matters to you, stick with your MVP 2 for now. If you want an inexpensive tube mod with replaceable batteries, both Vamo 5 and Sigelei Zmax (stainless) are good choices--but not quite as good as your MVP.

OTOH, the Vamo and the Sigelei come with all kinds of nice features like variable power, dual 501/eGo connection and OLED dispaly--the Provari doesn't! So, you have to decide what features you like/need most.

Good luck!
