I had an idea last night while in the mall vaping. Two people asked me about vaping while I was shopping with the family. My wife loves the fact I'm vaping now but certainly doesnt want to talk to every wierdo who asked me about my ecig in the mall. I dont always either. I LOVE the idea of getting someone on the vaping train but 10 seconds doesnt always do it........well, never does it really. I thought about how different religions have tracts to pass out. I dont want to force my info on the random people I pass but if I had something similar in my wallet that I could hand them I would certainly carry a few. Im looking for a well written 30 second read that would tease or flat out inform a person enough to get them further interested. Maybe not even an article but a list of links to the best articles about vaping. Sure I could tell them to go the EFC and it would certainly be one of the links but honestly EFC can be intimidating to many. I think it would be nice to put together something I could print out at home, stick two in my wallet and forget about until asked. Something that makes a person say WOW, if its this much safer, cheaper and helpful I want in. Now just to go to the links on the bottom of the page and im off and running.
We tend to forget many people dont EVER get on forums. Many older smokers don't EVER search something on the web. Many smokers dont even know we have something that can easily save their life. Im sure I could put something together but im betting someone far more literate than I has already done it. Do you know where it is? i want to print it out. If not what do you think it should say?

I only heard about the business cards with info on them before... I got some stuff from SmokTek.com and actually got one.
the back of the card reads:
What is a Personal Vaporizer? (E-Cigarette)
* It is an alternative for tobacco users of all types
* Completely smoke-free - no combustion takes place
* Battery powered heating coil creates the vapor
*Delivers vaporized e-liquid which can contain nicotine
* No tar, no carbon monoxide, no carcinogens
* No air pollution or second hand smoke
* No harm found in vapor
seems like a good card to give out... if you order from them, I'm sure you can request extra cards. Or you can make your own, I guess.

We're currently in a very small town which garners me many strange/dirty looks as well as questions every time I'm out vaping in public. My husband is Military and also looking forward to taking up vaping once he's home from deployment and I worry about how that will be received on base. So much like you I started thinking about something simple we could just hand people as way of explanation. There are quite a few threads here on the forums with wonderful business card ideas and after reading through a few of them and taking different ideas I ended up with this.

I've handed quite a few out already, it's much easier then trying to explain. Now if I could figure out a way to not feel so awkward telling strangers no when asked if they could try a vape I'd be all set. :p

you could get a small 650 PV and keep a little clearomizers on it for people to suck on... Then just pop it out of your purse when people ask. :)

Thats a great suggestion. So far its only been friends and family that have tried my PV, so for me not a big deal. I have manged to convert a few of my sons friends to vaping (20 somethings). But for random strangers in public, idk, even with a "condom" on it it just seems strange to offer to let them try it. Maybe after my next upgrade of my backup twists I might carry one for ppl to try. Right now, meh.
But thanks for the suggestion!!

Happy vaping
