Hello, my name is josh. I'm really new to the whole idea of a safe, smoking alternative. I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight(or hindsight) as to where to begin. My smoking habit has become increasingly cumbersome in relation to other factors in my life. As we all know, times are tough, and I would like to invest what little "extra" money I have in the right direction. Any advice would be extremely helpful, and greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, and God bless.

Neither here nor there
Hi Josh,
I think the concensus around here is to start with a model 510 or a KR808, and to get some eliquid so you aren't stuck purchasing substandard prefilled cartridges.

Do a little research on these models here on the boards, and I'm sure you will get lots of advice from the vaping sages.

And since this is posted to the V4L board, looks like you found a perfect starting place all by yourself.

After asking around at work, i was informed of a couple websites to look into. The first one I went to happened to be vapor4life, after looking around some more, I was about 70% sure that vapor4life would suit me the best. My wife and I had some money set aside, and were ready to give it a shot, when some unforeseen medical expenses hit us pretty hard. So, i figured until we recover, i would try to become more informed on the subject. The whole E-cigarette idea seems really great, since we as smokers are becoming more and more outcast from everyday society.

I know it can be tough to come up with the money for the initial order in times like these, I also had to wait. But this is a cheaper alternative to smoking unless you become a crazed carto and accessory collector, we have plenty of those here that we know and love!

I have saved money from the first week with my switch so don't let funds hold you back from good health for too long!

zdaddy, I've got a passthrough and some cartomizers with your name on them. Send me a pm with where to mail them and I'll get them out to you tomorrow so you can get started.

Gotta spread the love, ya know? And do NOT say, oh, I can't accept that. Yes, you can, Steve has given me so many freebies, it'd be a shame not to share some of them with those who need to get off the analogs.

Welcome, zdaddy! :)

My .02...

A 2-piece model like the Vapor King can be very affordable in the long run if you're willing to do some refilling of cartomizers instead of tossing them after each use.

I'm not sure what to recommend in terms of the initial purchase since I'm not sure what your budget is, but I myself started with the Vapor King Ultimate Kit for $69.50.

So both of you are going to go electronic? Congratulations!! What brand do you smoke now?

We both smoke Camel lights< which brings up my next question(s). I noticed there was a kamel flavored nobacco juice. Has anyone tried this? And was it similar to the unique taste of camel?

I think the kamel flavor is very like the camel cig, it's not exact but you do taste the blend. But just a week into vaping and I dislike tobacco taste, the kamel carts AND the camel cigs (I was having one occasionally when I first started because my boyfriend always wants me to go outside with him and smoke)

I'd recommend adding in a non tobacco flavor that you find interesting also. The chocolate makes my knees weak but everyone has their own person favorites!

Mema, he is adorable! I'm a sucker for all kinds of animals. :) Especially ones with big, buggy eyes.
He's really cute! I too am a sucker for animals. I recently rescued a 2yr old English Bulldog rightly named Tank.At first, I had to defend his looks and less than attractive habits(burping, farting, and snoring) from my wife. Nut now she too thinks he's "handsomely unique"
