Hello all,

I was looking at purchasing a dna 30 but was really curious what current owners of this box mod use this for? What attys do you use on your DNA30? What atty do you vape at 30 watts (if any)?

I am just looking to see what people do with theirs, not to say I need any justification to buy a new shiny lol :vapor:

Well a DNA30 is the chip itself and can be put into different mods. I keep mine in 18490 mode so I mostly run single coil RDAs in the 1-1.6 ohm range in the 15-20 watt range on mine. If dripping isn't going to be convenient, then I'll use an R91 or EHPro KFL+ v2 clone. If you use it with a bigger battery, you could go lower ohm\higher power without draining the battery in an hour like I will with a dual coil running 25+ watts.

I got the Cana Mod DNA 30 CLONE 1:1 NO LOGO. Never gotten it to 30 watts as the most i do is dual coils. I use it on everything from kayfuns to a Nautilus and drippers. I lke it for going mobile as it fits in a pocket very well. I can also change the battery if needed as this one uses a 18650 battery. I do have trouble following my discipline of discharging it all the way before charging as i like it and have found that i will slip it on charge early sometimes. So far it has proved to be very stable and had no surprises. I found it for $68.00 pre-order but I think now you can find it in stock at a lot of places. I'd recommend it to a friend. Don't need to use 30 watts to buy this. as I look at it under utilizing it will prolong the life of it as apposed to maxing out some of my older 12 and 15 watt mods.

Simple fact is IF you aren't building coils in the Sub-Ohm range, below 1 ohm, none of these high wattage devices are any different than a standard Mod that goes to say 15 watts.

If you normally use or build coils in the 1.4 to 2.5 ohm range you will never use a wattage above 15 watts. That is if you actually like your throat and like to speak after you vape.

For the normal vapor they vape somewhere around 8 to 11 watts with a voltage of somewhere around 3.2 to 4+ volts.

I run 1.4 to 1.8 coils on my Kayfun atties and every time I try to go over 4 volts I get a hot throat. a 1.4 ohm coil at 3.4 volts gives me 8.25 watts. If I bump that up to 3.8 volts that gives me 10.3 watts. At 4 volts that is 11.5 watts. Anything above that and "I" don't enjoy the vape. Your Mileage May Vary. It is personal preference.

So if you are thinking of getting a 30 watt device be advise you may not ever use it above 15+/- watts.

I usually build no higher than .7 ohms. Most of my coils hover around .4 to .5
I have one .3 ohm quad coil in my IGO-W6 sitting on my new Panzer 26650 (with a MNKE 26650 battery). I've found that (so far) I like the 26650 since it gives me more power and can do lower ohms.

I bought a Hana Modz 1:1 DNA 30 clone right before they were removed from eBay lol, So am excited to see what I can do with it :vapor:

a chip isn't an engine- it doesn't matter to the mod if you are vaping at 8 watts or 14 watts. it will affect battery life and such, but a chip doesn't loaf along at lower watts.it doesn't "prolong" its life by running it at less watts or more watts. there are no moving parts . my zmax doesn't care if i run it at 15 watts or 7 watts and a dna30 doesn't have its life lengthened by using 12 watts instead of 24 watts. nice logic, though faulty....
