Hi all. I just introduced myself on the new user forum and have moved here to start getting some advice and personal experiences in vaping. Inparticular, I am looking at peoples preferences and experiences with vaporizers.

At the moment I am using one of these: Vision eGo

When I was smoking those death sticks, it was the hit at the back of the throat and the top of the chest that I derived the most satisfaction from and this little device does a pretty good job of it. I have seen some vaporizers though that produce large amounts of vapour, something that this little item doesnt do.

So, I was looking for personal recommendations on vaporizers and liquids too. I used the Liberty Flights strawberry at the moment, I have an apple here waiting to be opened and used.

Conversely, if you are new and want to know what the LF Ego is like, just let me know.

Thanks in advance.

hi rainbow....

i will let other more experienced people guide you, but one thing i noticed was your ego is only 650 mAh (dont ask me what that means), which is probably not powerful enough. you might want to get at least a 1000 mAh ego. and that is the extent of my advice.

Miliamp hour. Its basically, from what I can remember, how much charge it can hold and how long it last under certain amounts of use. Thanks for the advice. Im taking a look now at the eGo batteries and I can get some 900mAh batteries for about £12. Fancy ones too. Thanks for the advice. :)

I'm not a fan of the eGo because it only has a 3.4 volt battery which is the smallest voltage battery on the market. Throat hit is primarily a result of nicotine levels. BUT, it is enhanced by warmer vapor. The most consistent way to get warmer vapor is with better batteries.

If you are looking for a much better alternative than your ego and better than the VV ego's on the market, I would look at the VAMO. It's in the same price range as the eGo's but it is a Power Regulated VV/VW model with a 5 amp switch. All egos only have 2.5 amp switches. Being Power Regulated (VW) it provides much better consistency than VV models in that price range. With a 5 amp switch you can use any atty/carto/tank/RBA on the market successfully. There are no limitations. The batteries are removable and will cost 2-3 times less than eGo batteries and last longer over time, also. For most vapers, the batteries provide anywhere from 10 - 15 hours on a charge.

Here is one site that sells them and a reveiw by an ECF member:

There are different steps to take along the way.

My Favorite right now as my all around unit and recommendation to new Vapers is

The Itaste MVP with Ego Threading.
Here are two thorough reviews of the unit
Pbusardo A PBusardo Review - Innokin iTaste MVP - YouTube
Field of Vapor iTaste MVP Review - YouTube

Why do I recommend it. Well the new version solves the complaint that it won't accept all Ego Cartridges including the Kanger t3 [I highly recommend Kanger t3]. You are new, you don't want to hassle with such questions as "What Battery do I buy" What Charger do I buy.

All you want is a unit that you can plug in the wall and recharge and than adjust the voltage and start vaping.

It has 3 buttons
1 button is your firing button and you can press 3 times to turn on and off
2nd and third buttons are + - Buttons that will allow you to vary your voltage from 3.3 to 4.8

It's just plain easy to operate, the battery is built in, it charges from any Micro Usb Charger [Like you use for Cel Phone]
The battery lasted Busardo 27 hours of vaping at around 4.6v and I'm going on 48 hours total time not vape time myself at 4.2 V.

You'll spend $55.00 to $65.00 depending on where you purchase it and it comes with two Clearomizers and charging cable. That's it, no additional purchase or extra money to spend.

Form factor wise this unit is reasonable it's a little shorter than an ego twist 1000mah and way shorter than the Vamos and Sigelei.

For liquids, I've recommended Heathers Heavenly Vapes they have a sample pack which will give you a good start. I make my own liquids and wouldn't recommend that route to someone new.

That does look interesting. Not sure about the boxy design, but when I see it in that first guys hand it doesnt look too bad. Im not sure if that isnt because that guy has huge hands or not. :)

Thanks, Taking a look now and its available here in the UK for about £50. Alot more than in the US it seems. :(

you can get a lot of vapor and throat hit from a regular ego - you just need to use a low res device. Try something around 1.8 ohms . .if that's not enough, try 1.5. It will drain your battery faster and I've heard it will shorten the life . .but I've been using 1.8ohm Kanger T2s and Mini Novas on my ego's for months and they're still kicking.

Like stinkboto says, treat yourself with an eGo Twist. You will not be disappointed. for $25-$30, you get variable voltage from 3.2-4.8V and 1000mAh. Good stuff. If you plan on getting verified and don't mind waiting, a co-op will be starting up that will have the 1000mAh Twist @ $16 and the Kanger EVOD at $2.80 a pop!

If you eventually want to get into rebuildable atomizers, there's the Vision Eternity just waiting for you to try (from $20-$30). It looks pretty epic on the stainless steel Twist and an easy first RBA. Hits like Tyson!

1000 mah ego-twist and a KangerT3 is a great set-up. I use 60/40 pg/vg juice and set my voltage to 4.0 and get great throat hit. This set-up is what brought me back to vaping!

Until I encountered the Itaste MVP I would have agreed with stinkboto and made his recommendation. But technology changes and the Itaste MVP is a superior 2nd step [If you don't mind the box shape]

I have a Genuine Joye 1000 mah Ego Twist [My Backup Unit] and Kanger T3. The drawback is that the life on it is not that long. In addition I've used equipment to test it and once it starts to get low the voltage isn't stable. In addition I have a voltage reader and the voltage it was putting out at was all over the charts.

The MVP is giving a consistent vape from beginning to end. If you hold the button for 10 seconds until the cutoff it will provide the exact same voltage without variation.

With an Ego Twist you'll need at least two. One to use and a backup unit after it runs out on you. Mine won't last a full 8 hours.

With the MVP you could just recharge every night before you go to sleep or every other day if you forget. It lasts that long!

Compare that with the MVP with rock solid voltage and two days of vaping time. Ego Twist just isn't in the same league.

Some are happy with the Ego Twist and never see a reason to change, so it might not be a bad option. But if you don't mind the box the MVP is shorter than the twist.
Side by side MVP, Twist, and Sigelei

Its all in your devilry system. A standard atty on a unregulated battery mod will give plumes of vapor heres the proof. I was vaping 60 pg and 40 vg mix If I remember right. I have a pretty extensive collection but its just that a collection. I dont take my high end stuff out much as I dont want to damage them. IMG_1051.jpg

For a great every day vape nothing beats a carto tank. I like 801 fusions or 4.5 ohm carts. A glass tank and ss caps Theres so many decent preforming VV, VW and VV/VW combos out there most any are ok. Like most things you go up in quality as the price goes up. Id say watch a little You tube find one you can afford get a few attys, carts and a tank any you will be happy. Then start checking out the wonderful world of RBAs and genys!

Lots of good battery advice here, so I'll try to focus on the 'huge clouds of vapor' part. This (after the voltage/ohms situation is settled) usually comes from how much VG is in your liquid. I vape 20/80 PG/VG on my Vivi Nova tank and I get great clouds of vapor. If you wind up getting a Vivi Nova, make sure its a Vision Vivi Nova, anything else is a knock off. You can search youtube for "pbusardo Vivi Nova" for a review if you'd like.

hey tomzgreat where online has a good price on that mvp? I'm very interested
The lowest price around is Ivape. They are priced at $65.00 but if you search they have a coupon which will take $10.00 off.

I'm waiting for confirmation that the version they are selling has the new Ego Threading. They replied to the affirmative to another person on the forum but I didn't think he was specific. Contact them and ask them if it will accept the Kanger T3 if they reply yes than purchase one.
Buy it quick because Innokin is trying to control the pricing on these and might shut them down any day now.
