I just bought some 3/8" FLEXPEX potable water tubing at a local ACE hardware. !/2" outside diameter. It comes in straight 4' chunks. It is very stiff, but still somewhat flexible. Drilled it out with a 3/8" bit, but it was still too snug of a fit for a 901 atomizer. Then tried a 13/32" bit, and the atomizer slides very nice and easy. Seems like an oily plastic, though, so epoxy probably won't stick to it. But hot melt sticks to just about anything.

How about using the shell from a dead e-cig battery? You would just cut it to length, saw a slit along the length you are going to use, then pry it open just a little to give the atty space to slide through. You could glue it to the widest part of your connector inside your mod (assuming you are trying to put all this on the inside).

This is a longshot but if it works out, it'll be an excellent way to get your hands on exactly what you need. Get in touch with a company who makes or repairs windows in your area. There is a part called a spiral tube window balance that is basically a metal tube with a spiral twisted piece of metal inside. If you can find a place that has just the tubes, no guts inside (most likely either a window parts manufacturer or metal recyclers), you're in business.

If that doesn't work, try copper pipe or electrical conduit pipe from a local plumbing/electrical supply store. If HD/Lowes don't have them, try the places the local contractors use like Locke Supply. 1/4" Copper is too small, 3/8" is probably too big, but if you can find some 5/16", that might work for you.
