Hello Reonaughts,

I had a problem with my spring collapsing and the power button melting on my Reo Grand a while back so I sent it back for a tune-up. I got it back and began vaping again for a little over 3 weeks without problems, however today it happened again. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to correct it? and

Thanx in advance; Sincerely,

Mr.Freedom_First

Hi Mr.Freedom_First :)
Are you using the same atomizer you were using the first time? The atomizer could be the cause. Then another possibility is screwing the atomizers on too tightly, that can do it too. Tell us what your set up is...hopefully we can figure this out. :)

Hey Rhap,

The first time it happened was with a dual coil clear mega carto and this time I had a 1.5 Ohm Dual Coil 510-T Atomizer on it and I only turn them till they stop, I never tighten them.

Usually in the case of a short causing the spring to collapse the atty or cartos is the first suspect.

Always check the bottom of the atty or cartos before putting it on your REO. The center pin should be flush or out just a little bit. Here are some pictures to show right and wrong.

Did the spring collapse as soon as you hit the fire button?

Was the atty or cartos new or had it been used on another PV?

I've never turned an atty "til it stops." I hope you don't mean like I'm reading this. I screw in an atty til it just makes contact and give it about another 1/8 turn to just snug it up a bit. Never had a short.

Well it sounds to me like its nothing your doing wrong your not using adapters . Its a bad atomizer or a failed gasket . Its really hard to short a grand with the new system I am using actually I haven't seen one short since I started using this system . I Wont no until I see the mod . Please send the atomizer with the mod .
I will repair it and send it back asap. Please put
a note with your email address and a brief description of the problem .Also
empty any e juice in the mod .

Thanx Rob, but I put an order in for the parts and an extra one of each just to have in case it happens again. I checked the atty the way Needo said to in his reply and I got a reading of 0.4 Ohms so I'm guessing it was the atty. If I have trouble with it after that I'll send it to you so you can work your magic.

Thanx again everyone, and have a great weekend.

You may want to just replace the spring as long as the button wasn't damaged a spring is all you will need . You can find them on my site in the assessors section of the shop
