I just read they are going to stop producing them. Dont know about a quantity discount but adirondack vapor has them in stock. I just ordered 2. I've read they are a good vendor. I guess their juice is real good too but never had it.
i can't find any in stock, but if you do happen to find one, beware of fakes. here's a page that lists the difference between a real one and a fake.
i personally use the purple efest 35A battery and haven't had an issue with them at all. i ordered two of them about 6 months ago and neither one has failed me yet.

I recently purchased some Sony VTC5 18650 batteries from an online vendor. They listed the battery specs on their website, but I wanted to double check with Sony before I started building my setup. I couldn't find anything on their website, so I emailed them. Here was their reply:
Dear customer, thank you for your inquiry.
The 18650 type batteries are no longer manufactured by Sony.
This product was never intended for individual, public sale and are not eligible for warranty or engineering support.
It was only available to OEM makers of specific devices.
The specifications and markings on the battery may vary depending upon the OEMs requirements. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the true manufacturer or authenticity of the batteries without physical inspection and manufacturing code research.
This type of battery is widely available on the internet market through non-authorized resellers.
Therefore, Sony is not liable for the performance or use of this type battery for non-intended purposes.
Such applications should be done at the users own risk.
Furthermore, any battery of this type claimed to be Sony brand may be older stock.
We apologize that we cannot offer further assistance with this matter.

I heard they stopped making them and are going to release VTC 6s now I had a heck of time finding VTC 4s a few weeks ago already got lucky and my local store had like 10 Vtc 5 left and grabbed a pair up. If they are going to make the VTC 6 I wish they would get on the ball and release them already. I wont touch a efest bat on a bet. I only use Panasonic's Sanyo LG and Sonys. Mostly old habits die hard I use to race RC cars and nobody ever used a efest mostly. Sanyo and Panasonic or Sonys went into are battery packs Run times were critical in that sport. Companies like Sanyo and Panasonic wrote the book on High drain rechargeable. I never even heard of Efest.
