I may complain a lot about overpriced legit mods, but after using and repairing clones and legit versions of the brass knurled king mod, I gotta say it's one of my all time favorites.
It's solid, well made, overpriced ($220), odd size (23mm), Surefire has horrible customer service, hits like Ray Rice, easy to set up, reverse thread locking ring, recessed button, made in 'Murica!

And these are the last of the non-telescoping Workhorses. Once they are gone, they are gone for good. I really need to order another one. I also need to order a brass body while I can still get one.
Can I blame you for this? Here I was, all fat and happy with the telescopic, now I keep seeing it in all brass.
Any particular downsides of having a spring vs magnet? Seems like most mods today are getting built with magnets. I own a Magneto, so curious to know how a spring-based one performs. Also, I watched their video and it seems there is a lot of tweaking you may have to do with washers and o-rings. Does the Workhorse work out of box with a standard battery and dripper?
Works right out of the box. As far as magnets, not the one to talk to, ask on the Super T forum. Washers are used to adjust the throw of the switch. Super easy to do.
Thanks! Looks like they are already out of the 18650 Workhorse. Anyone own both the 500 and the 650 tubes and can comment on the differences in performance (other than the battery life itself)? What 18500 do you use for it?
Am using a AW 18490 1200mAh. Between the telescopic (18650) and a 18500 Work Horses on a Magma RDA, no discernible difference.
If they have any 18650 brass tubes left, order that with a 18500 Work Horse. That is what I did.

Not sure the wife will give me budget for a separate brass tube, even though its not too expensive. Is there a noticeable difference in using the 18500 tube vs the 18650 copper tube, or is it just a cosmetic diff?
No difference. I've been rockin the workhorse SS 500 all day at work( with 4 batteries).

Thanks. Just pulled the trigger on a WH 18500. Wanted to also get the Brass 650 tube but they were out.
