I'm looking into buying a Reo. I have no experience with bottom fed devices. Can someone give me a little insight on what to buy? I am a dripper but not an rda guy at all. I usually run low resistance bridgeless atomizers. I know some can be bottom fed with which would be great and I'd not make as big of a mess at times :). The question I have for you guys is does the VV version really make a difference? Or should I just run the mechanical version with a kick? Thanks in advance!

Low resistance atomizers with a mechanical REO work really good. With the AW IMR batteries you get great performance.

The kick is an option that some have used.

I think the mechanical Grand is a perfect starting point. Durable, easy, and performs fantastic. You can easily clean them by running them under the faucet after removing the atty, battery and bottle.

The VV Grand does give you the ability to dial in your setting adjusting heat of vapor and taste. If you don't plan on using a RBA where you can make high or low ohm coils, the VV Grand is a added benefit.

I run both the VV Grand with a RBA and a Grand with a RBA. I use a low 1.0 - 1.3 ohm coil on the Grand. I run a 2.2 -2.5 ohm coil on the VV Grand. The VV Grand let's me fine tune my vape to my likes. But the Grand with those coils kicks out some fantastic vapor too!

Thank you for the reply! That's what I'm worried about with the mechanical. I love my LR atomizers but at times I do like to bump it up to 2.0 or 2.5 ohms to vape at about 4.6 volts. Decisions..decisions... Really thinking about just going mechanical and using 1.5 ohm 357's..

If I had to have just one it would be a Grand. It is simplicity at it's finest. The RBA has given me the opportunity to widen the range of ohms without having to kick it. Yet slap on a 1.5 atty and I am very pleased at what I get.

+ 1 on the grand. They're my favorites too.

So should I look into getting a blemished grand? I don't care if it has minor blemishes I'm a blue collar guy those blemishes will be far worse in a few months lol. Also would you say the reo handles 100 percent VG juice well like a Boba or Gorilla juice?

All I have ever bought were blems from REO. In most cases the minor cosmetic blemish cannot even be found :)

Yep, REOs were designed to handle thick, 100% VG.

I own a Provari (que bad guy theme music here) and I use the Panasonic with the nipple. Do I need flat tops?

I was actually hearing ZZ tops' "tube steak boogie" when you said that :)

The AW batteries have a nipple. There what the REO was designed around. I don't know about if the 'sonics will work. Sorry bro :)

Panasonic will work. IMR I hope? The button top batteries work better. The firing mechanism in the mechanical REO's is designed to contact the battery on the top of that little button. Flat top batteries require you to push the firing button down more. Over time it can cause problems.

If you buy from RTD use code ECF5 for 5% off.

Yes they are IMR :). I'm going to try my luck in the wanted classifieds first. If I don't score a decent deal there ill buy straight from the source.

Robert will stand behind any REO, even if it has had a few owners and ends up in the classy's! For a few bucks he will have it working good as new. I have made over 40 REO purchases from the classy's. All of them work good as new!

Reos don't have blems, they have character, sheesh who let the new guy in??

Between the ease of use, safety, and button placement - I'd suggest your first reo be vv and then look at the mechanicals. All depends where you're coming from and what you're comfortable with. I came from provari's so a vvg was right up my alley. I imagine if I was more comfortable with a mechs I'd be more inclined (and less intimidated) by a Non-vv Reo Grand, mini, mini 2.1, etc.
