Looking to buy box mod!

So I've been using my mech mod for months now and love that it helped me stop smoking cigs. Now I'm looking to buy a 260 watt box mod, but do I really need one that high? What's better, one with a li-po battery or one using 18650 batteries, or it doesn't really matter? I'm looking to make cloud now, I'm on 0 nicotine and have been buying juice at 100 vg.

I got the SMY God Mod from sweet-vapes.com for $85.00 and it's authentic. It's the 180 watt model. To be honest I have the power if I need it but you really don't need that kind of wattage. I use a Dark Horse RDA and usually vape around 50 watts with a dual coil 12 wrap 24 gauge coming in at .51 ohms. If I want to blow clouds I bump it up to 65 watts. Vaped it a few times at 110 watts and twice at 180 watts. 180 was ridiculous. You can only hit it for like 2 seconds and the juice is gone. So in my opinion you really don't need that kind of power. Also if you don't know what your doing it's flat out dangerous ! I do like the fact that it has 3 batteries and I can vary my voltage and wattage for my desired vape. $85.00 was cheap considering box mods can go for in the hundreds. I like the look of the new 260 watt model and it has usb charging. I probably would have got that if it was out when I got this just because I like the looks, usb charging and vented. I wouldn't even try it at 260 watts that's insane you probably could jump start your car with that lol Also if I throw an Atlantis tank on this it can last for days with the three batteries. Everyone has their own preferences and experience and I'm only telling you about mine. Check out sweet-vapes.com he has really good prices. His philosophy is the cheapest price and no haggling. dont forget the hyphen between sweet and vapes or it will take you to a different sweet vapes website. With the higher wattage thing it's really useless and more for "bragging" rights which is BS if you ask me. Have a great day and Happy Hunting for your new setup !

Vaping at 260watts sounds absolutely ridiculous. My computer runs off of 200 watts, my laptop even less! I vape at 11.1 watts and get decent vapor and good flavor, if I'm feeling really zaney I'll vape at 20 watts and take 1 second hits. Carrielsal I like that post it's so true, wattage isn't the only factor in blowing big clouds.

Anyways, get a mod that you want. The nice thing about a high wattage mod is you CAN use higher power if you want too. However, no one uses that much power, it's absolutely ridiculous. Basically getting a 100W mod is already beyond the limit of what you would use imo. In a recent poll (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/polls/635240-how-many-watts-do-you-vape.html), 80% of people vape from 3-25 watts. 16% from 25-60watts. 4% from 60-100 watts. No surprise here, 0% of the people vaped at 100-260w.

I prefer 18650 batteries but everyone is different.

I will agree with the last few posts. I have several box mods that are more than capable of reaching well over 100 watts, but I just simply cannot build and decent coil that'll get you a good favorable vape. Anything over 50 watts is unnecessary in MOST cases. When I have tried 100 or over, it's always extremely hot and really no flavor to speak of.

Now, that might work for cloud comps to vape like that, but I vape for the enjoyment of it.

Let's bump you up for an answer!!

real...There is no need for a 260W box mod. I'd recommend reading through this post. This guy does a really good job explaining the relationship between coils, power, and cloud production, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ughts-about-sub-ohm-latest-vv-vw-devices.html.

Have you seen the mybox box mod. It is imo a very clean and hi quality box mod. Don't think it will go up to 260 tho

Thanks everyone for the input. I really do appreciate it before I purchased one. It does sound crazy vaping over 100 watts. So more research and reading to do before I go any further.
