Spent the weekend at a family get together and my father tried my vamo and loved it. He wants me to get him a setup so he can hopefully finally get away from the analogues.

I feel that the vamo is too complicated for him. I think he needs a single button to start with, but he needs the all day strength of a 3100mah type battery.

Is there something that would hit that spot? Or should I just get him an ego style setup?

He also needs something bullet-proof in case he drops the thing on the pavement.

Thoughts from the pros?

Faaaar from pro, but an innokin MVP comes to mind if he wouldnt mind the box style, should be simple enough if you set it up for him, and gives him the vv to play with later. Think they're around 2800mah. Relatively cheap on fasttech, most people seem to like um. Not sure on the durability but im sure you can find info about that here.

I wouldn't underestimate your father and say the Vamo is too much. It's a really simple device and if he can use a remote he can use a Vamo. Get him a vamo.

You're probably right Cnote. I'm probably over thinking it and underestimating him. I'll spring for the vamo.

Now, the question is... what type of tank or clearo to pair it with? I love my protanks, but I have heard that they don't like to be dropped so much.

Any suggestions there?

for the price the vamo is great ... and very simple worst case it stays at 3.0 v when he changes batteries..
my only issue is they're slippery and get dropped - Ive put vinyl skinz on mine an that solved that
for tanks and beginers i've had good luck recommending the basic tanks & cartos from volcano tanks are good and last and the cartos are good quality

I got my mom simple 1300mah batteries with Evods set. They are working well for her. Simple and easy to use. I had purchased the MVP for my husband, but he prefers to run around with eGo batteries and Evods. He dropped one the other day and the only damage was he lost all the juice in his Evod. I just washed it, filled it back up and it was good to go.

if you're worried about the glass protank breaking I wouldn't be too concerned as plastic breaks easily too but if you want my recommendation for a plastic bottom coil clearo the Vapeonly ones here are pretty good. Vapeonly BCC 3.5ml Tank : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Completely agree with this. Gave my brother an MVP for his birthday and he was able to start using it instantly. It wasn't until about a week later he started to pick up on the VV ability which made him love it even more. It's a high quality item and he's been very pleased.
