I've been vaping with a 510 starter kit with cartomisers for about a month now. Enjoying it and looking to make a bigger purchase now.

Things that are important to me:
-Nice robust vapoury feel and taste with a decent throat hit as well. My 510 is okay in this regard but I want to try something new now.
-Consistency. The 510 is at best very satisfactory but it is very inconsistent. My cartomisers (I don't know kind they are specifically) are supposed to be the same but they feel/taste different, even right out of the package. The two batteries also seem to be changing and living with time, which is annoying.
-Reliability. I'd rather not have to make a new purchase anytime soon, I want something that will last.

Things that aren't that important:
-Battery life. I work at home and as long as I don't have to be recharging after every time I vape, it's not going to be an issue.
-tank/cart size, same thing. I've been thinking of trying direct dripping as well, maybe it is the taste I am looking for.
-Aesthetics. Don't really care what it looks like as long as it's nothing extreme.

The juice I use the most is 16mg strength caramel flavored one.

Recommend something please. I'm open to any kind of combinations of devices.

thanks.

I agree with mooreted. I'd tryout the Ego or maybe something with alittle more kick. I have the Blue Lightning from Madvapes.com. Its a 3.7 volt mod with one 14500 or 6 volts with two 15270s. 002.jpg

Liberty-Flights.com - press 20% off upper left - then look at Riva 510 - the Riva 510 SE with the 3-click enable/disable is a nice kit. The Riva 510 kits and SE batteries at this shop are 3.7v so even your existing atomizers and cartomizers will get more punch on these Riva 510's

Or get a mod. The BB at Altsmoke is one nice simple 3.7v mod. And it doesn't look like a sex toy which I consider a positive point in its favor. Mods use standard industrial protected Li Ion batteries or safe chemistry AW IMR batteries. I think BB is 510 threaded so ditto about giving more punch to your 510 stuff

And both of the above can use LR (low resistance, low ohms, hotter) atomizers and cartomizers if you want (though they do use charge up faster). On mass produced batteries like Riva some will only use down to 2 ohms, some will go down to 1.7ohm, and some go to 1.5 ohms but that's pushing it a bit and some only go that low/hot on mods.

For tanks - I think the carto tanks are getting more and more popular - go to electronicstix.com and look at the J-tank and the slotted cartomizers that go in it - for a first tank I recommend the 3ml which uses slotted Boge cartos (Boge are the most popular cartos on 510-threaded devices)

Based on what you are looking for in consistency, reliability and good throat hit I definitely can't agree with the suggestion of a basic Riva. It's a good beginner PV and for some, all they need. But there are much better options that fit what you are looking for. As Peezy suggested, a good 5 volt model or as mooreted suggested, a good variable volt model will come much closer to giving you what you are looking for. I would suggest you look at these models:

5 volt GLV2: it will meet all of your requirements and it is so realiable that it has a lifetime warranty. It is well supported on ECF, also:

Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

For variable volt or power regulated, the Darwin or Provari will give you the most consistency. Both are very good but I prefer the technical advantages of the Darwin:

interesting advice. I have actually been looking at some bigger 5v models but the stuff you mentioned seems only available at American stores and then I'd have to pay even more for the shipping. what do you guys think about this mod:

E-Cig City Mods - 101 - 5v Box Mod (V2)

Yes - sorry I did not see you are in Finland. Go to Liberty-Flights.co.uk that's their UK shop and they have Riva 510 SE (but not the 20% discount). They do not have the BB but they may have some box mods made by EcigCity. And Cloud 9 Vaping in the Uk has the Apex Ultra mod (I know little about it but there are some threads about it on this forum)

And though I don't know who would ship to Finland, in ECF Buying & Selling there are UK and Europe Vendor sections and UK Classifieds. Classifieds are a good place to find gently used to much used mods.

Also in the Uk check Dave's Devices (he makes box mods but was out of stock due to Madvapes not shipping internationally any more - he used some of their parts)

And you can ask about mods sold in Europe/UK in ECF National forums... UK and Europe forums. (after 5 posts and an hour wait)

And I'll get you a link to the ecig mods database - has a country search in Browse by Feature
http://www.ecigarette-mods.com/

Reply to this message for your 5th post and an hour from then you will be able to post elsewhere and send/receive private messages on ECF (needed to buy anything in Buying & Selling)

Good choice! The GLV is better built but since this is more cost effective considering your location, it should do quite well. I have a similar 5 volt box mod that I use to use regularly and did very well and now have as a back-up to my Darwin.

I think you have found your next PV.
